الراعي يزور الاراضي المقدسة برفقة البابا منتصف أيار

يزور البطريرك الماروني الكاردينال مار بشارة بطرس الراعي الاراضي المقدسة شهر ايار المقبل برفقة الحبر الاعظم بابا روما فرنسيس، والوفد المرافق.
وكشفت صحيفة "الجمهورية"، الثلاثاء، ان الراعي قرر القيام بهذه الزيارة برفقة البابا فرنسيس الذي سيزور الأردن والأراضي المقدسة من 24 الى 26 أيار المقبل.
ونقلت تأكيد النائب البطريركي العام المطران بولس صياح، الذي سيرافق البطريرك في زيارته، أن "الراعي سيزور الأراضي المقدّسة ضمن الوفد الذي سيرافق البابا، ففي فلسطين رعية مارونية تستحق زيارته".
وعن اعتراض البعض على هذه الزيارة ، قال صياح ان الزيارة "رعوية والراعي ليس ذاهباً لهدف سياسي او للتطبيع مع اسرائيل"، مضيفاً انه "من حق أي مسيحي في الشرق زيارة الاراضي المقدسة لأن القدس وبيت لحم ليستا حكراً على اسرائيل بل هما لجميع المؤمنين في العالم، وهذا الأمر ينسحب على مسيحيي لبنان ومسلميه".
وعن وضع الموارنة في فلسطين نقلت "الجمهورية" عن رئيس أساقفة حيفا والأراضي المقدسة للموارنة المطران موسى الحاج،قوله: "يبلغ عددنا نحو 7500 نسمة، عدا عن اللبنانيين الذين تركوا بلدهم قسراً عام 2000 ويقدّرون بـ 2500 نسمة".
واعتبر ان "تأثير زيارة البطريرك الراعي ستكون رعوية في الدرجة الأولى على الموارنة خصوصاً والمسيحيين عموماً. وسوف يستمع الى مطالبهم وينقلها الى أصحاب الشأن والقرار بهدف إحقاق الحق وتطبيق العدالة تجاه موارنة الاراضي المقدسة وتجاه اللبنانيين".
ووفق أوساط سياسية لـ"الجمهورية" فان الراعي "خطط لزيارة الاراضي المقدّسة منذ توَلّيه السدّة البطريركية في آذار 2011".

because hezbollah will kill them for defending their homes. Ironically, one of the only non sectarian groups fighting for their homes in Lebanon was made to be the most demonized by the iranian militia.

Many of them if not all were part of the SLA and they worry that they will be arrested and tried for treason. To be honest the ones that did not flee were tried for treason and a third of them got sentences that were a month in prison and another third less than a year in prison. Only very few got life in prison. Technically they can return if they want to.

I could not find the blog anymore.
There was an article by Michael J. Totten on an Israeli soldier who fought in 2006 war and his tank got burnt and managed to flee to Israel. He came back to Lebanon months later via Amman on a Canadian passport and told his stories with pictures.
There are also two other Israeli reporters (boy and girl) who lived in Gemayze and Hamra a couple of years back and came to Lebanon using foreign passports as well. They mostly talked on how nice the night life is in Lebanon and how nice the Lebanese people are and they were surprised because that's not what they had expected when they first came here.
