بري يشدد على ان "تطورات المنطقة تُلزم الجميع انتخاب الرئيس"

رأى رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري ان الجلسة الانتخابية المفترض عقدها الثلاثاء، سيكون مصريها كمصير سابقاتها، اذ لا جديد في الملف الرئاسي.
ونقل زوار بري عنه قوله لصحيفة "الجمهورية"، الاثنين، ان رئيس البرلمان يتوقع أن يكون مصير جلسة انتخابات الرئاسة الـ 13 المقرّرة الثلاثاء كمصير سابقها، "فلا تقدُّم حصل حتى الآن في اتّجاه الاتّفاق على انتخاب رئيس جمهورية جديد".
الا انه لفت الى انه و"في ضوء التطوّرات الخطيرة التي تشهدها المنطقة أرى ما يُلزم جميع القوى السياسية على اختلاف انتماءاتها بالاتّفاق سريعاً على انتخاب رئيس جمهورية".
اما عما يتردد من تولي رئيس "التيار الوطني الحر" النائب ميشال عون رئاسة الجمهورية لمدة سنتين، قال بري: "لم يفاتحني أحد في أمر كهذا. علماً أنّ هذا الأمر لا يمكن المسيحيين أن يقبلوا به".
وكان رئيس "حزب القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع، قد رفض هذا الاقتراح في تصريح الى صحيفة "القبس" الكويتية الاحد، قائلاً "تقصير المهلة الرئاسية أمر مرفوض من قبلي جملة وتفصيلاً".
ودخل لبنان في مرحلة الفراغ الرئاسي في 24 آب الفائت، مع انتهاء ولاية الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان ورفضه تمديد ولايته وفشل النواب في الاتفاق على رئيس جديد.
اما عن عقد جلسة تشريعية، فجدد بري امام زواره، تفاءله بالامر، قائلاً وفق ما نقله زواره لـ"الجمهورية"، ان "الأجواء إيجابية حيال معاودة عقد الجلسات التشريعية، ولكنّ الأمور ما تزال تحتاج إلى متابعة عبر بعض الاتصالات".
وأضاف انه "فورَ الانتهاء منها سأدعو هيئة مكتب المجلس الى الاجتماع لتحديد جدول الأعمال للجلسة التي يمكن أن أدعو إليها، وسيتصدّره موضوع سلسلة الرتب والرواتب، وأتوقّع أن نعالج ملفّ التشريع خلال هذا الأسبوع".
يُشار الى ان نواب 14 آذار ونواب "تكتل التغيير والاصلاح" يقاطعون الجلسات التشريعية، رفضاً لعقدها في ظل الشغور الرئاسي، الذي دخله لبنان مع انتهاء ولاية الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان رافضاً تمديد ولايته، وفشل النواب في الاتفاق على رئيس جديد.

Actually Geagea remarks on the Islamists in general are very wise indeed as to the Sunni panic full of hatred remarks coming from Aoun and co.
Geagea said fal yakon al Ikhwan on the condition that those Ikhwan respect democracy and liberties.
He has never said that daesh is not a danger but is not a durable phenomena. The difference between Aoun and Geagea is that the first is taking every occasion to scare the Christians against all Sunni justifying his partnership with the chia front. Whereas Geagea is reassuring the Christians that even though there are dangerous Islamists takfiris the Christians should not be in panic mode hating all the Sunnis.

Aoun said he will not run unless a consensual candidate, that's obviously not going to happen.. ummm, so what's the hold up, why aren't his mps attending the vote. I see, so Aoun once more did not tell the truth. His orders from above impede the elections until further notice.

53.98% total voters turnout in 2009.. no one got 54%.. 46.02% of the people did not vote period. From 1976 on.. not 1974, the last general election took place in 1972. The numbers are no longer important "we stopped the counting" for the sake of the Christian minority, admittedly a policy never favored by the Resistance.

Flamer you're such a fool. Who gives a damn what Geagea thinks about ISIS. What has Aoun done to stop ISIS from coming? Nothing. Who agreed to the Baabda Declaration? Everyone, including Aoun. Who went to Syria and attracted all these lunatics here? Hezbollah. Who does Aoun blame for Arsal? The president and prime minister. It doesn't matter how serious of a threat Geagea thinks they are. Aoun agreed to the Baabda Declaration. If he had any dignity left, he would at least publicly urge Hezbollah to withdraw from Syria and help the army protect the borders.
