Read this story in English W460

The government is going to demonstrate against itself. This must be some Orwellian dream.

Keywords people, look at the key words in the headline !!!

"street action" .... is what they do best

Thumb charbel 15:21 ,2012

They were out of the government, they resorted to street action, fair enough.
Now they are the government, what is the street action for? to put pressure on the opposition?
This is an insult to the Lebanese intelligence!!!

The only aim is to stop the democratic process, to cripple the country, and to allow the Syrian regime to use Lebanon as a distraction from the atrocities it's committing.

Default-user-icon G (ضيف) 15:23 ,2012 شباط 06

Wow, they sure know how to treat lebanese citzens like a flock of sheep. Hizbullah gets a FREE card for whatever they want to do in this country, via being illegal or not referring to state institutions. And now they are going to demonstate for their rights???!!!

Behind closed doors, Aoun begged Hizbullah to call out their crowd to just show a form of poularity.

Aoun knows that if it was him alone demonstarting it will be an embarrassment, prob a few hundred will only show and they consist of his relatives / distant relatives

Default-user-icon G (ضيف) 21:10 ,2012 شباط 06

There is no substantiation for hizbullah to go to the streets. great u have all those MP's but Lebanon is still the same with or without them in it. Ur gonna mention that the parliament is blocking everything / M14 and jumblat, how can that be when jumblat is w M8 and how did they get the vote of confidence for the cabnit?

Ask anyone in M8, in the next elections if M14 wins, will the M8 let it be a 1 sided gov? the answer will be NO. All double standard talk and actions to blame the other side for election purposes.

If your still gonna blame M14 about blocking everything...then think of it as a political revenge for all the M8 blocking they have done post 2005

The Lebanese by their sectarian driven and emotionally loaded choices of leaders have brought to the government those who have an ideological agenda where lebanon does not exist and those who are self centered self serving who want to take the largest share of the loot.
Regretfully we have all to wait for the outcome of the Syrian revolution for things to change. Meanwhile, the circus of governing continues while the clowns are running out of new gigs.

When you don't work, and you have no money, what else are you suppose to do? Lebanese politicians are great business people who seek only to benefit their own organizations and pockets, rather than to benefit the people who elected them. Where else in the world do you see a country of 4 million people spend billions of dollars on election? Open your eyes people, and understand that the leader of your community is only your leader to get rich in some way. From introducing new laws that will financially benefit themselves, companies, or families. The unfortunate part is that there is a slim minority that actually has joined the political scene to actually make a real difference, I feel for you.

@Flamethrower, Stop beeing a moron, Aoun has half of the ministers to himself ( since half of the cabinet are christians ), and Marwan Charbel is clearly FPM so he wont side with the president . And Hezb and Amal have a few ministers, that makes up more than majority that Aoun needs in order for them to resign and that the governement be toppled. He just dont want to topple it now, because it is not the " APPROPRIATE TIME " as he said. By the way, of course Hezb would want to join the protest, since their people are the ones that mostly dont pay their bills. So yeah its logic Hezb participating in this parade against mafias who use up electricity for their own purposes... Please flamethrower or little lost kid, i beg you to join them in your cause , cover up really good with an orange and yellow flag and go bring fight yourself.

What a funny and absurd government! take the streets against themselves! only M8 can do that!one billion dollars for this plan is clearly theft!
it is against that the hezb should demonstrate LOL!

so laughable irresponsible people... but the interests of the people they don t give a sh... the only thing they know is obstruction!

and in that time lebanese people have difficulties to make ends meet...

tfeh on these politicians M8 or M14 altogether as long as it is for them a family business and not a service they OUGHT to provide to the people!!!
people should take the streets to demand their resignation, all of them!

Missing sikoflebanon 19:37 ,2012

No surprise there, after all the fpm-hizb alliance has always been based on total contradiction. In this protest (in case it happens) you will see one person with a "yafta" asking to cut electricity on those who are not paying their bills and right next to him the guy who's not paying his bill will have a "yafta" threatening the "jibeye" people to dare cut the cable through which he's stealing electricity.

Missing peace 23:59 ,2012

We're struggling on different levels but definetely in the same fight, either with them democronies new world ordeal bringers..or against. There's an illuminist (oh, the conceptual list is quite extense and usually ends in ISM) script going on in everyday stances - everywhere. Though it's not that easy to focus in such a modernist midst, Lebanese should know that for some of us - that don't abide by the media onslaught on everything, tired of being lied and seeing our own social prospects crumbling at the hands of €urocrats et al - you're quite an inspiration. May Your resilient convivência reach consensus in what matters most, aware of a formidable enemy which surely is still betting on the 'New Middle East' whose birth pangs Rice shamefully announced.

Thank God the worlds is at last witnessing the Islamic awaking and the birth of the Islamic middle east proudly announced a year ago by Ayatollah Khamenei, Ayatollah Khatami, Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi and just a couple of weeks ago by the commander of the Quds Force General Qassem Suleimani. Sayyed Hassan must be very happy this is happening after such a long wait, now he can begin the implementation of the glorious Islamic rule in this the Iranian Islamic republic in Lebanon.

“If the FPM decided to resort to street action to achieve Lebanon’s interest, then we will join it as well."

I think this might be the first goverment in history, that wants the people to take to the streets in protest of itself. Unless what hezbollah really means is we are going to arm our new pals and take the streets.

There are a lot of different sides and opinions.... But no one should be defending this kind of crap!
