سليمان يحذر من "تطرف" عربي جديد: أي اعتداء على ثروتنا النفطية سيؤدي إلى حرب

أبدى رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان خشيته من "تطرف" عربي جديد مقابل التطرف الإسرائيلي متمنيا على الجامعة العربية العربية استعادة دورها الطبيعي "بعدما ابتعدت عن قضيتها المركزية" معتبرا في سياق آخر أن أي اعتداء على حقوق لبنان من النفط "سيؤدي إلى حرب".
وقال سليمان خلال استقباله السفراء العرب المعتمدين لدى تشيكيا في زيارة رسمية انتهت الجمعة واختتمها بلقاء وزير خارجيتها كارل شوارزنبرغ "الديموقراطية لا تطبق بالمعيار نفسه في الموضوع الفلسطيني مما يدفعنا الى الخشية أن تتجه بعض الديموقراطيات العربية الناشئة الى التطرف بسبب الابقاء على القضية الفلسطينية دون حل واستمرار التطرف الاسرائيلي".
وشدد سليمان على أن القضية الفلسطينية التي هي مصدر توتر اقليمي وعالمي دائمين وتشكل لب الصراع في الشرق الاوسط "خصوصا أن الارهاب الذي لا علاقة له بالاسلام اتخذ من ظلم المسلمين في فلسطين ذريعة".
ولاحظ رئيس الجمهورية "ان الديموقراطية ستشمل جميع الدول والمهم الا يأخذ الامر وقتا طويلا، كما على الجامعة العربية استعادة دورها الطبيعي بعدما ابتعدت عن قضيتها المركزية" لافتا الى وجوب العودة الى العروبة والاستثمار داخل الدول العربية "لأن في ذلك ضمانة للاستثمارات العربية بعد الخسائر الكبيرة التي منيت بها في الدول الغربية".
واذ اكد رئيس الجمهورية على التكامل بين الدول العربية، فانه لفت هذه الدول الى وجوب الحفاظ على الاقليات على اراضيها، "التي لا تشكل مشكلة في لبنان لما يتمتع به من نظام مريح يجب المحافظة عليه ليبقى درة الجامعة العربية"،
وإذ عبّر عن ألمه لما حصل في العراق إذ "عليه المسارعة لاسترجاع من ترك البلاد من مواطنيه بعد استتاب الامن، ولافتا الى وجوب عدم تفاقم الوضع في مصر بين الاقباط والمسلمين" تمنى أن لا تشهد سوريا "اي مساس بالاقليات التي اعتبر ان المحافظة عليها يكون بإشراكها في ادارة الشأن العام والحؤول دون هجرتها ليحل مكانها آخرون لا يمتون الى منطقتنا بأي صلة".
وحول مشاركة لبنان في القمة العربية المقبلة المزمع عقدها في بغداد، أكد رئيس الجمهورية "ان لبنان يهمه جدا اجتماع الجامعة العربية وانه سيشارك فيه على المستوى الشخصي، الا اذا حدث طارىء حال دون ذلك".
وعن الوضع اللبناني، لفت رئيس الجمهورية الى استقراره رغم ما يحيط بلبنان من احداث واضطرابات "اذ ثبت ان دستور الطائف ملائم جدا وقد ارسى مظلة امان حافظت على الاستقرار ولكن العبرة تبقى في تطبيقه بشكل صحيح وتصحيح الثغرات".
وتمنى الا يحدث اي تجاوز او تفرد باستثمار النفط والغاز من دون رضى لبنان، مؤكدا "اننا لم نعتد يوما على احد انما اسرائيل هي التي تعتدي دوما وآخر اعتداءاتها على منطقتنا الاقتصادية الخالصة".
وعول في السياق عينه "على قيام الامم المتحدة بلعب دور لضمان حسن العمل في مناطق غير مختلف عليها مع التأكيد اننا لا نريد وضع العربة امام الحصان" محذرا من أي اعتداء على حقوقنا النفطية "سيؤدي الى حرب".
إلى ذلك دعا رئيس الجمهورية إلى "وجوب أن يخضع مجلس الأمن الدولي للاصلاح في ظل التطور العالمي ونشوء دول جديدة يجب ان تتمثل فيه لما لها من وزن اقتصادي كبير".

If this president cares about Lebanon and its people and feels that there is a dispute between the 2 countries, why don't you call for an intermediate or direct talks? whom are you threatening ? Didn't Lebanon paid enough for opening the borders to terrorist gangs like PLO and Hezballa? what could have been so bad is the Lebanese army was keeping border quiet without any hostilities ?
This is the only time I'm ready to loose around the negotiation table.

Missing the point here people. Prior to directing our angst towards the external let's take a good long look at the whole of the within. Do you genuinely believe that the current government will not rape and pillage the monies made from the energy resources? This is a genuine opportunity to significantly decrease our national debt, and in doing so, putting more kids in better schools and more food on the plates of more of the poor. Ideally, it sounds like a fantastic opportunity. In reality, I don't trust Bassil, Aoun or Hezbollah. We need to fix our internal problems before we start dealing with the external. It is due to our internal strife and division that the external plays such a significant role. Wake up countrymen.

bravo Mr. President, I admire how you defend the nation against Israel. But honestly, why can't you have the same attitude to Syria too. They are our enemy just as well!
