وزراء عون وجنبلاط يتجادلون حول دور الجيش اللبناني في عكار

طالب وزراء "التيار الوطني الحر" في جلسة الحكومة مساء الأربعاء بتكليف الجيش ضبط الامن وان تكون القوى الامنية بأمرته كما حصل في منطقة البقاع، فيما اعترض وزراء "جبهة النضال الوطني" على هذا الطرح.
وأفادت صحيفة "النهار" صباح الخميس أن وزراء "التيار" أثاروا ما جرى في منطقة الطريق الجديدة بعد حادث عكار، مشددين على ان هذا الاجراء يكفل انقاذ هيبة الجيش والضرب بيد من حديد.
وقال وزير الطاقة جبران باسيل في مداخلته "إما أن نكون حكومة فعل ومبادرة للحفاظ على الاستقرار والأمن بالفعل وليس بالقول، وإما ان نكون حكومة عاجزة".
وأضاف أن "عكار أصبحت منطقة فالتة أمنيا، وهي متروكة لمشاريع المنطقة العازلة والجيش السوري الحر، ما يعني اننا أمام خيارين، فإما ان نتركها للمسلحين، وإما ان يستعيد الجيش سيطرته عليها".
وشهد لبنان اشتباكات عنيفة أبرزها كان في طرابلس إثر توقيف المدعو شادي المولوي بتهمة التواصل مع تنظيمات ارهابية منذ نحو أسبوعين. كما زاد مقتل الشيخ احمد عبد الواحد ورفيقه الشيخ محمد المرعب الأحد الماضي من حدة التوتر وانتقلت الاشتباكات من الشمال الى العاصمة بيروت. وفي الأيام الأخيرة، برز تطور لافت تمثل بخطف لبنانيين في سوريا واستهداف آخرين بانفجار في العراق. ما رفع حدة التوتر في الشارع اللبناني.
لكن وزيري "جبهة النضال الوطني" وائل أبو فاعور وغازي العريضي اعترضا على هذا الطرح.
وقال أبو فاعور انه "ليس هكذا تجري حماية الجيش وتوفير الغطاء له". وتلاه العريضي محذرا من عدم سلوك طريق الحل السياسي.
وقد اكد مجلس الوزراء في جلسته الأربعاء على "دور الجيش اللبناني في حفظ الامن والسلم الاهلي والاستقرار وعلى دعم الاجراءات التي يتخذها على هذا الصعيد على كامل مساحة الوطن".
ومن جهته، قال رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان "ان الجيش اللبناني كان امام خيارين: اما قمع حرية التعبير او السماح بها ويحفظ الامن، فاختار الثاني ونفذ الاجراءات التي طالما نفذها منذ عشرات السنين".

fpm are trying to put more oil on the fire while evryone else is trying to find ways to defuse the tensions.
if they get what they are asking for, the result will be a divided army. they claim they support the army? what a way to show it!
logically how can they expect the sunnis in the army who represent nearly 40% of the army(of which 25% come from Akkar) to accept being against their families? what they are asking for is a recipe for disaster.

When law and security cannot be maintained, military authorities take control in order to restore order. This is what martial law is. I don't know if I've been missing something, but I did not read about any riots or destruction of property in Akkar. What warrants these suggestions the FPM is putting forth? These actions are taken when civil disobedience becomes widespread. When authorities kill an innocent person, emotions are high whether it happens in Akkar, in the French suburbs, or in the allies of the Bronx. This is a time to act calmly and wisely, not to indulge in confrontational behavior and drag the army into it.

FPM is trying to manipulate the public opinion and persuade them that akkar is filled with bloody islamists worse than in afghanistan!

I agree, but still we mustn´t forget that Akkar gives also home to people sheltering terrorists and other people fighting guerilla-like in Syria. And because of that we are now in a situation in which christians and muslims living in harmony are constrained in their every day life.
