Updating electricity power plants to more effient gas or coal not the dirty and expensive oil. Dsl and 3G technology is already 10year old tech and outdated but must be inacted immediately. Rifi and all who disregard law and orders from superiors must be punished not just fired. Culture and tourism must aggressively promote Lebanon and close and clean up those that take advantage of tourists. Have we ever heard of public transport? Proper bus lines and timetables or light rail infrastructure. Clean up the judicial system, god knows where or how to start with that one... Anyway good luck. They have been asking for a chance, now they have it... Let's see whats the difference they can do.

it was:
1) the civil war/
2) hizbos adventures on the borders almost every single summer ruining tourism.
3) the crippling of downtown beirut for 2 years by march 8.
4) assad regime and mukhabarat sucking up lebanese resources for 30 years.
5) in ability of the goverment to collect taxes from certain regions of lebanon.
6) use of money to rebuild lebanon and its infrastructure after every israeli attack (usually caused by hizbo) instead of using the money for paying debt.

Has anyone read the Mustaqbal's statement? They are fearful of "revenge" and "retribution". What does this mean? They are mostly concerned about Tayyar and Hizb holding past officials accountable for corruption, and they are freaking out.

Yes, the political crisis of and sometimes Hezbollah's funny border adventures caused a lot of harm. Hope they forget "Destruction of Israel" for a damn while and focus on their own country's problems.

Still, the corruption present in Hariri's government that has been around for some 15 years has caused the VAST majority of the debt and actual cash lost to a lot of pockets. That may be exactly the revenge many of those are afraid of, should the March 8 forces, supposedly less corrupt, take over and root the corruption out.

Bigdigg, i dont know what planet you live on? but March 14 have a lot to fear as we all... from assignations, murder, bombs, destruction of property and business, and now possibly criminal witch hunts and prosecutions.. of course, many people in Lebanon are corrupt and deserve to be prosecuted, but one gang of thieves judging another gang of thieves is quite scary esp when they carry so much vengeance and base their entire existence on resistance, fighting and destruction of countries, religions and movements. it's very scary for most of us.. to be fair, i think they understand, from their recent statements, that they can't do everything they want without consequences and are genuinely trying to do things properly. but too little too late. the world has changed and how they run things won't matter as much as what they stand for...

lebanese people live in Lebanon are just followers for all those corrupted Leaders and conflicts creatures. You just think of who are gonna be on the chairs.
Hey Lebanese, it's the time to understand that u're part of their plans, they won't give you a better and proper life, they won't offer proper communications, public transport, what they're gonna give u more loyalty to freaking outsiders such americans, iranians etc you name, and they will make it more tight, no money, and you will end up with one option, run more after them to get Za3ameh, and a little bit donations, or probably aid for schooling for your kids.Good luck for giving the chance to this new government, they are the same S--- but different smell, wait & see what's the gonna be the debt in 2 years time. For the last past 5 years . I read the papers .day after day. It was all about
stl stl stl stl hariri jumping from one country to another. I never ever one day read about the starving Lebanese people who have no jobs and no money to feed their families. I am so sorry to say that March 14 did not get me a job did not feed my family and i am sure other lebanese starving families agree with me. 5 years of stl stl stl . on the news and nothing but stl. All the money that could have helped the lebanese starving community went to stl. Lebanese were robbed by Hariri of their livelihood because of his selfishness to revenge his father. He did not care about the Lebanese people. If you dont beleive me go to the past 5 years and read the papers nothing but stl. the hell with you and stl i am hungry and i need a job. you had your chance.
