Yazbek Slams Kabbara's 'Shameful Incitement, Insanity'
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةHead of Hizbullah's Juristic Committee Sheikh Mohammed Yazbek on Sunday hit back at Mustaqbal bloc MP Mohammed Kabbara without naming him, saying his remarks over the Baalbek clashes are “shameful” and “insane.”
“What happened (on Saturday) in the city of Baalbek is very painful and we have always warned against it and asked the state to shoulder its responsibilities,” Yazbek said at a commemoration ceremony in the Bekaa town of Hawsh al-Rafeqa.
At least three people, including a soldier, were killed and several others wounded after clashes broke out Saturday between Hizbullah members and al-Shiyyah clan following a dispute in Baalbek’s al-Qalaa marketplace.
“The attack and killings led us to what we openly reject and we are in dire need for 'firefighters' who can prevent the eruption of a sectarian or religious strife, as people have different ideas and viewpoints and they much respect each other,” the top Hizbullah official added.
Snapping back at Kabbara, without naming him, Yazbek said: “It is shameful when some resort to a rejected rhetoric by claiming that Sunnis are being oppressed and it is disgraceful when the insanity reaches some people who consider themselves to be officials in the Lebanese parliament.”
“Who is oppressing whom? How can this oppression be explained? There is a state that should be responsible for unveiling the circumstances of the incident,” Yazbek noted.
“We regret that this MP is launching remarks from the podiums of strife and incitement, as what happened was a dispute among the members of the same family, but some people want to fuel the fire and speak of oppression,” Yazbek added.
Reciting a statement issued by the Tripoli-based Islamic National Gathering on Saturday, Kabbara said: "We demand a security plan in Baalbek to protect the people against the terrorist party that conducted an attack to eradicate our people from the Bekaa.”
Separately, the Hizbullah official said the new cabinet has not been formed until the moment due to “the mentality of some parties,” noting that “it can be formed when there is a serious will and when we close ranks away from foreign interference and the Western and regional influences.”
what do you call people who grow drugs, sell them, funds terrorist actions, go at war for another country, shoot at their countrymen, impose their laws, have their own police and secret service, their own telecom lines if not TERRORISTS? LOL
they turned out to be "obsolete" .... so good for terrorism ! LOL, you d better review your propaganda....
ok tell the army about that seems you know better than them coz the army said that not me....
again you turn out to be like your name... IDIOT... LOL
Idiot talker: You say: "the bombs from the syrian service have no basis show me proof other than baseless allegations bla, bla, bla ... good thing you're no judge" What? Are you a Judge? So, when it pleases you, you play the not proven guilty yet. Lets all say it: "I am not guilty your honor." You say: "arsal and triplo are sponsoring terrorism RIGHT NOW...." Oh, oh, you got my attention with these big worlds "RIGHT NOW". Really, so we can't take our focus off what's going on today and look back at the recent history of the countless terrorism, assassinations of Lebanese Officials, killings of innocent Lebanese people. OK sir, we'll follow your lead. We are all listening to you Mr. Idiottalker.
Idiot talker: Hem, two wrongs don't make it right. Well, it depends on the intention of the person doing the second wrong which arises from the wrong done by the first person. So, you ask the second person how he feels when he has taken the revenge. To me, two wrongs don't necessarily make it right, but I would take it on a case-by-case basis. Would you go out of your way to help find and turn in all those Lebanese who betrayed their "Wattan" and brothers for Syria and Iran and put the noose around their necks?
Idiot talker: We understand that the State can not issue an arrest warrant w/o probable cause supported by corroborating evidence. If the charges stick at a some sort of a "probable cause" hearing, then the case would proceed, etc. But you say? "This new interception and the people involved should be sentenced for life for inciting terrorism and providing direct support to terrorists". Shouldn't they be arrested and indicted, as you say, like the Judges did in Samaha & Tripoli bombing cases? May be for your interests, we should put these already deemed criminals on a fast track directly to sentencing. And yes, charges for conspiring against the State and high treason does and should require a higher degree of burden of proof which makes delivering a correct guilty conviction much harder. Shouldn't we consider what H.A. has done in Lebanon for Iran and Syria as it serves at the pleasure of Iran and not purely Lebanese interests?
I wonder if Iran would drop HA as part of a Grand Bargain with the West. Sorta like when Bush the Senior dropped Lebanon as payment for Assad's support in the 1st Iraq war.
We've always been pawns <sigh>.
jabal. Lebanon represents a large part of Iran's foreign policy... so not a chance. We are stuck with these medieval cartoon characters. Sorry to break this to you.
Well he sure tried. The Syrians did indeed withdraw their army, but they left behind a lethal trojan horse called HA... And our leaders started die, one after the other.
The point of my post was to highlight just how the big players use us as bargaining chips. A shame, really. We can't agree on the basics among ourselves - we never did.
No one in Lebanon is going to convince HA to turn over their military machine to the state. The solution needs to come from the outside as usual. Only Iran can convince them. Someone posted above that the Shia have been marginalized since the founding of the country and HA gave them a voice. There is truth to this statement. But what happened in past decade is no excuse for HA to hold us all hostage. We need a second republic: all inclusive. No one left behind.
Finally, "I bet you listen to the STL and their beggar slimish snail 'investigators' lol". Well, laughing out loud sometimes is healthy. Go ahead and "lol". But what does this personal and baseless allegation about me and the STL has to do with uncovering who assassinated a former Lebanese Prime Minister? No, I don't follow the STL, but I would very much like to be a part of a system attempting to find and prosecute the perpetrators just because I like to get to the bottom of the case.
Idiot talker: You say: I don't even know wth you're talking about" when I say: "Would you go out of your way to help find and turn in all those Lebanese who betrayed their "Wattan" and brothers for Syria and Iran and put the noose around their necks?". I thought you are all about: "ALL THOSE GUILTY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED IMMEDIATELY" and "ALL TRAITORS AND COLLABORATES should be prosecuted in the fastest possible manner and proceed to prison for crimes against their fellow citizens and the state". By the way, what has Iran or Syria done to bring the terrorist who killed the former Prime Minister to justice?
Mr. Italktoidiots: Aha my fellow Lebanese brother. I tend to believe that the majority of us care for the "Wattan". Yous say: "Don't be hypocritical ya vincent, after all, what political party has the FULL interest of LEBANON? TELL ME". Presently it is very hard to find any, but I do not let that discourage me and/or influence, compromise or hinder my convictions. Finally, I am not going to comment other than "I am happy for you and all the good
Southern Lebanese which I had the pleasure and time visiting": "hezballah has liberated the south, that's enough for me to be thankful and not an ingrate ! I see their actions since their greatest triumph in 2006 and on as fully justified and great developments".
Kabbara is irresponsible. Let him handle his Tripoli thugs instead of inciting strife.
Seriously, mate? And who was it who was calling the Free Syrian People and everybody who morally supported them in Lebanon as "terrorists" just because they dared raise their heads against the bullets of Baschar's criminals-in-uniform and his delegates who are occupying our country Lebanon? The thug in question is the head of the Iranian Occupation Force in Lebanon, whom you bow down before as the head of Hizb-something (to mention God - Allah - in relation to Hizb would be kafar). How's that for an attempt at inciting strife? 3a 2asés îsmak "LEBANON First"; hah! Lebanon-first-in-the-mud would be a more honest title.
SERIOUSLY!!!??? Ya Yazbek, I'm a Shiite, and I find YOUR incitement to hatred and cheap attempt at political gain far more lowly than anything than Kabbara had mentioned! Ya zillit el Shi3a ya Hizb, how dare you open bu2kon after everything that you have done? If you should all commit Seppuku right now you cannot take back the honour that you and your murders have cost us!
