Aoun: Wissam al-Hasan’s Position at Head of Intelligence Bureau Violates ISF Law
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةFree Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun stated on Tuesday that Wissam al-Hasan’s position at the head of the Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau is a violation of the ISF laws seeing as there is no such thing as the Intelligence Bureau.
He said after the Change and Reform bloc’s weekly meeting: “It is a branch that does not exist on the legal level and its violations were covered up by the then prime minister.”
The MP made his statements in response to Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat’s remarks on the issue on Monday.
When asked about the Intelligence Bureau, Aoun responded that Hasan’s actions will be revealed when the false witnesses file in the investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri is addressed.
On Speaker Nabih Berri’s proposal that the position of Army Commander be granted to a Shiite, Aoun said: “I am required to return the position of General Security chief to the Maronite sect.”
He denied allegations that he was disputed with the speaker on the matter, saying that no one approached him with this issue.
“Disputes will not erupt among the new majority,” he stressed.
Addressing the March 14 camp’s statements that it will topple the cabinet, Aoun replied: “Regaining something is harder than defending it.”

FPM leader MP Michel Aoun after Change and Reform bloc’s weekly meeting: Surveillance apparatuses are linked to parliament not the cabinet.
Aoun never ceases denying conditions that exist and continue to exist and assuming things that never existed, existed all along. I have a 96 year old uncle who has the same problem, but he is wise and is under treatment for the condition. Aoun is dangerous in that he is in a position of responsibility in Lebanon and has apparently disregarded the treatment proposed by health care providers.
This harbinger of a new day in Lebanon of secularism and doing away with confessional political systems where a person's sect determines their station in life - the Free Patriotic Movement, now he says that certain positions are reserved for Maronites and he must advocate that, while others should go to Shiites. My, my, how money can cause a monkey to sing whatever song his organ grinder plays.
"General Security Chief" what is that anyway that he must save it for the Maronites when Nasrallah has declared parts of Lebanon off limits to all but Hezbollah? Hezbollah does security. thx to Aoun.
Yeslam temmak mon général . Time has come to clean the Republic from dirt left by the Hariri's clan and it's corruption .
You promised the Lebanese to do the job , they brough you to power , please do it . Thanks .
No disputes among the majority? What a joke. Is that why it took so long to make a government with your own allies? Maybe because they realized just how power hungry and greedy this idiot is.
can someone ask michel aoun if hizb allah militia is according to law? if yes, if he can refer us to the law book he reads.
Berri wants a shiite gov little by little. aoun was used and his mission is over they dont need him anymore.. I wouldnt be surprised if there is a plot to get rid of him. Booom. He thought he was using them but they were up to his games.
Hizbo is going to hit a sheikh mate. you are finished aoun better hide i see a big assasination plot because your done . they are going to give you a one way ticket ot hell. You used them to get to the presidential palace. They used you for the same thing. soon they will change all laws concerning a maronite president. ya haram shou msattal. haddir el borka el orange la martak.
Dementia (taken from Latin, originally meaning "madness", from de- "without" + ment, the root of mens "mind") is a serious loss of cognitive ability in a previously unimpaired person, beyond what might be expected from normal aging.
Little by little, Hariri Mafia is being dismantled and his Christian Sunnis have become legally insignificant. Finally, Lebanon's long-awaited Spring is becoming a reality. Decent Lebanese, REJOICE!
Aoun abruptly broke off his comments because he said he had to go phone Hafez Al Assad and President Nasser...
This poor excuse of a leader personifies what is wrong with Lebanese politics: Win at all cost, even if it means selling your soul to the devil. Treat government like a personal trove, a sort of bounty for the perceived victors, instead of dedicated public service. And worst of all, the attitude that “we have weapons, we win… you lose,” which spreads hate and fosters revenge.
This irrelevant clown will change his colors in a minute and toe the line when Hezbollah falls - as they will. And then… watch the clown’s nose change to a slightly different shade of brown.
This man never ceases to amaze me. The Lebanese constitution clearly states that defending the country is the responsibility of the state and its army. Who in hell has authorized the "sacred" resistance to unilaterally decide to carry weapons and impose them on the will of the lebanese? To legalize the resistance and its arms a referendum must be held like they do in civilized nations. Until that happens, Hizbullah and its thugs are illegal and nothing but a mafia and a militia driven by hatred.
General oun, he thinks that he can change any think, but he forget that he's the only one live in lebanon, and he forget the thousands lebanese army killed by his, barbarian command. and now he comes to appear like an angel
