Charbel Confirms Arrest of Nine Suspects Involved in Estonian Abduction

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel revealed on Thursday that the seven abducted Estonians were released at dawn, stressing that nine people were arrested in the case, including Lebanese and different nationals.
He said after leaving the French Embassy in Lebanon: “The Lebanese state participated from a distance in the operation.”
Charbel stressed: “The abductors had no demands and the Estonians will be debriefed to uncover all details.”
The minister revealed that the Intelligence Bureau played a major role in the release of the Estonians, while the French Embassy coordinated the issue and followed up on it.
The seven Estonians are Kalev Kaosaar, August Tillo, Madis Paluoja, Priit Raistik, Jaan Jagomagi, Andre Pukk and Martin Metspalu.
They were kidnapped in the Bekaa valley on March 23.
They had been shown appealing for help in videos posted on the Internet in April and May.
A third video was emailed to several of their relatives in June.

Yeah.... and why should the Lebanese State participate except from a distance.... coz these foreigners were kidnapped on planet Mars and not on Lebanese soil, huh? Kudos to the new interior minister on such a comforting statement....!!!

So their were kidnapped on foreign orders and released on foreign order. I wonder if they saw the two Dutch diplomats there.

mowaten you don't care if a foreign power is giving the orders to kidnap foreign nationals on Lebanese territory. Do you really want to be help hostage as well so the foreign power makes it's deal?
If the kidnapers were just a mere criminal gang the story and ramifications end here with their capture.
But If on the other hand it's a foreign game like in the eighties the country and it's economy are in a s#!tload of troubles, troubles we can't afford bass la 3younoun.

Charbel, now that the party id over, and you and your cabinet look like heroes, time for you to arrest the person who went on TV and declared that he is hiding the 4 individuals who were indicted by the STL and that you are looking for. That person challenged you, the law, the constitution and the cabinet on TV and promissed that he won't release these individuals in not even 300 years.
I know if it was me who did that i will be in jail no question about it.
Did he kidnap them? Did he get rid of them so he won't be implicated? or he is just an outlaw having fun with his little gun? Either way he should be arrested. A person who is a complice or knowingly and willfully hiding criminals is one.
It is time for you charbel to show us that we are all under the law.
