Abbas Ibrahim’s Appointment as General Security Chief on Monday’s Cabinet Agenda

Ministerial sources told As Safir newspaper Saturday that the appointment will be finalized once an agreement is reached on Christian appointments in state administrations.
They said that President Michel Suleiman and Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun will discuss these matters with Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi during Suleiman’s dinner in the patriarch’s honor later on Saturday.
Parliamentary sources stressed that Aoun is concerned with the Christian appointments, especially in the ministries handled by his bloc.
He will voice his opinion on the matter and coordinate his position with Suleiman and Premier Najib Miqati based on studies conducted by the FPM.
The sources revealed to As Safir that the biographies of first level position candidates in civil and military institutions have been prepared.
Meanwhile, security sources told al-Jumhuriya newspaper in remarks published on Saturday that the General Security headquarters received a bomb threat on Thursday.
They said that it received a telephone call from an individual, with an accent from the Arab Gulf area, threatening to attack the building with rockets.
Yeah.... gotta be a shiite..... got it.... must protect the back of the resistance coz all other individuals: Sunnis, Maronites, Druze, Armenians, Orthodox, etc. cannot be trusted!!!!
Will wait and see while this new appointee is protecting the back of the resistance how much fortunes he will amass in a year or two.
Whoever is rsupervising this new superb redesigned Naharnet site must pay more attention and stay updated on the new cabinet: get a picture of Miqati team, because - just for the sake of putting things into their correct historical perspective- Hariri's government is HISTORY now!
