March 14: Terrorism in Lebanon is Result of Iranian Meddling in Syria

The general-secretariat of the March 14 alliance warned on Wednesday that putting Lebanon in the path of the “Iranian empire's roadmap” would lead to the country's destruction as it slammed Tehran's meddling in Syria's war.

“The party that is unilaterally shoving Lebanon into adventures based on certain requests, will later not be able to draw their boundaries and their repercussions,” the general-secretariat said in a statement read by its coordinator, former MP Fares Soaid.

He blamed the cycle of violence and terrorism that erupted after the Syrian revolution in addition to Hizbullah's involvement in Syria's war through Iranian support on the suicide bombings that targeted the Iranian Embassy in Beirut's southern suburbs.

“Lebanon is paying the price of the Iranian involvement in Syria through its fighting alongside the criminal regime,” he said, adding Tehran's meddling “led to a counter terrorism on Lebanese territories.”

The statement said Lebanon was shocked by the deadly bombings that targeted the embassy and led to the loss of innocent lives.

The general-secretariat condemned the attack and all other violence and terrorism that targets any place in Lebanon.

“Considering Lebanon a detail in the Iranian empire's roadmap will only lead to the nation's destruction,” Soaid warned.

“The only solution to this long and painful tragedy … is for Hizbullah to return to the state and abolish its statelet that comes at the expense of the nation,” he said.

The March 14 official also called on the state to carry out its responsibilities.

ya 3alam, fi2o!!!

the assassins are your neighbours!

the killers of Mr Hachemi of the Lebanese Option Party are identifiable one by one. http://news.yahoo.com/anti-hezbollah-protester-killed-lebanon-115943123.html

Hezbollah and M8 are playing the time card like Israel with the Palestinians. They want time to pass so nothing ever gets done!

that's what they are doing for Rafic Hariri, Pierre Gemayel, Gebran Tueni, Samir Kassir and the other martyrs and heroes of Lebanon.

What happened yesterday was a natural reaction by al qaida because hezbollah is attacking them IN SYRIA. now Hezbollah is importing the fight INSIDE Lebanon.

Don't let them prevail, attack your politicians, pressure them!

it's about FREEDOM and JUSTICE. if Hachem was your son or brother, would you let go so easily?

Fi2o ya 3alam! don't let them play the time card on you. DEMAND JUSTICE NOW!

it is now an open war across the region: let the shia community realize where the Iranian policies are driving them.
let this community feel what it means to be at the receiving end of terrorist acts.
this shia community will pay a dear price for the actions of the terrorist extremist iranian militia.

yea, the only community standing up against western imperialism, while the rest unfortunately lap it up like little sheep (yes, i am referring to saad and geagea the lebanese neocons)

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 November 2013, 19:24

What's wrong about Geha's statement ?

Innocent shiaas are paying with their lives for Hezbollah's atrocities and mistakes. Unless i'm mistaken, all lebanese tend to live in "communities"... it's unfortunate but true.

And not all Shiia are Hezbollah ... but all Shiia are paying the price, like any other lebanese, for Hezbollah's actions !

No Lebanese (human being) can be proud of Hezbollah tainting their land and reputation. Of having to flee their land to find peace and prosperity because of them. Of being branded as terrorists. Of having to strip naked to get a visa to almost any country in the world ! To having to struggle to convince tourists and investors that Lebanon is safe ! All this falls on Hezbollah ! nothing else represents a threat near enough !

Again FT : what's the point of your comment ?

They don't need me to defend them ... they, like all Lebanese are victims of Hezbollah...

However, I don't see you contradicting me ! That's because I'm right and the only ridiculous thing you find to say is that ?

Thumb LebCynic 20 November 2013, 15:32

Geha is the sort of person that can justify murder that's ordered by his wahabi masters. Truth is the wahabi Saudi plan was defeated in Syria and they are now trying to implement it in Lebanon it will also be defeated in Lebanon. No one in the Middle East wants to be taken back to the dark ages, the people of Syria and Lebanon are wanting advancement and progression. M14 are Saudi puppets who are American puppets ultimately serving the zionist agenda of Israel.

spot on!!!!

FT, it never ceases to amaze me how many accounts you and Mowaten can log in with. FPM wages hey!

It's not sectarianism from Geha, it's realism. If the Shia community, or any community, in Lebanon complacently supports the terrorism against the Syrian populace, we can expect it to happen here.

Always the apologists for terrorists and their masters. Always the lowest lives. Always subhuman.

What a twisted mentality! It is EXACTLY as saying that the rapist's crime would not have taken place had his victim not been wearing a revealing outfit. Ya M14 think before issuing statements. 3ayb ya Jame3a.

Terrorist! freedom fighters but they are really getting to limit

There have been bombings in Lebanon since before Harari was born. Bombings in Lebanon are the result of Terrorists being in Lebanon. This is an internally driven phenomenon . It's a wonder this caretaker government can keep things calm with men like Asir around receiving money from men like those in March 14. One man's terrorism is another man's charitable contribution.

Ya allah 3a leik ou 3al Saudis ! Stop it already ... when it's not Saudis, it's Israelis, or Takfiris or bullshit !

HA is 100% responsible for our problems in Lebanon ! There is no lie you can invent to convince people of the contrary !

Thumb mckinl 21 November 2013, 01:49

100% wrong ... It wasn't the HA behind the Embassy blast. Whatever you say these are cowrdly crimes against Lebanon first and foremost. That the Takfiris wantonly kill the innocent is the issue.

Thumb FlameCatcher 21 November 2013, 11:38

I didn't day HA bombed the embassy. I'm saying HA is responsible for bringing war and terrorism to Lebanon !

All this is on them ! Israel, Takfiris ...

Remove Hezbollah and their illegal actions from the equation, we would be living very different and peaceful lives without the 2006 war, without Israeli spying and without takfiris !!

Thumb AntiSheepism 20 November 2013, 17:21

Really, that is the reason for terrorism in Lebanon? I thought terrorism in Lebanon was caused by everyone's meddling in Syria, lack of security capabilities, the fact that we have no real government and a parliament that never convenes, deep rooted hatred which only seems to be growing even more and an incredible sense of disunity in a country so divided it cannot keep itself safe. There is more than one reason for terrorism in Lebanon. It is amazing not more terrorist acts have occured.
