Jumblat: Syria Can Only Be Cured through Punishing Those Who Committed Crimes against People
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةProgressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat warned on Sunday of attempts to create disputes between Lebanese and Syrians in light of the anti-regime protests in Syria.
He said while on tour in Rashayya: “Syria can only be cured through the punishment of those who committed the crimes against the Syrian people.”
He demanded that all political prisoners be released and that hostilities against protestors be halted.
Furthermore, he condemned statements aimed at creating sectarian strife in the Arab country, saying that a new constitution needed to be devised in order to all for the formation of multiple parties in Syria.
“These promises were all pledged by Syrian President Bashar Assad, but appears that some members of the regime don’t want to implement them,” the MP noted.
Jumblat remarked: “Only free people can liberate the oppressed.”
On local developments, he paid tribute to Resistance fighters who were killed during the July 2006 war, reiterating former Premier Saad Hariri and Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s calls for dialogue.
This dialogue would help “devise a defense strategy that can fortify the Resistance.”
...... ufffff...... better keep your mouth shut!!!!!! We are sick of you. Every day a different position.
Why don't you tell us who are those that committed crimes? And why only crimes against the Syrians? How about those against the Lebanese? You have a daily reminder Ghazi Aridi. Why are you so scared to speak up even at this point of weakness?
This guy is ammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmazing. No one knows what side is he on. If you are up he kisses your hands. If you are down he just blast you with denial. I want to say he is clever and so far he survived . koodos to you walid .
Syria is falling . At any time now the army will divide and the majority will take over the country. Thats why you are daring to talk. hahhahha
I do Agree with Mr. Jumblat
Starting with the Dictator son of Dictator,, hope the rope will hold his neck,, as his family's and his hands are weighting with the blood of the Syrian citizens
They don't call him Jumpsalot for nothing. The fact that Walid changes position almost daily is testiment to the fact that the political situation is very fluid and that the winds of change are blowing from many different directions. Walid is not what makes the wind change directions, he is the weather vane that simply points in the direction in which the wind is already blowing.
That Walid is calling for multi-party elections in Syria means that Assad is in deep trouble and will not long survive in power. That's today. Tomorrow he may kill a lot of Syrians and look strong again, in which case Walid will kiss his hand again.
main problems of jumblat:
1)losing control of the syrian druzes
2)terrified by election 2013 in lebanon,60 pct at least of lebanese druzes are against his policies, to say the least.
3)the hate against him in iqlim el kharroub
4)the firm stand of march 14 against his return or his rapprochement with march 8,seen as covering criminals.
the only escape available for him ,is to take a firm stand with the freedom of bilad el arz b4 the syrian regime falls, but he proved to be a coward so.....
First he convinced march 14 to run the election without Aoun and now look where is he and where they are!
Anyone else notice he not only acts like a clown, but actually looks like one? With his hair and silly smiles
The same should apply in Lebanon my dear Mr Joumblatt, starting with the party responsible for the serial killings! But how can you do that in Syria and Lebanon when the crime perpetrators are the one holding power, and fictitiously choosing scapegoats which actions they have directed??
