'Catastrophic Medical Situation' in Syria's Aleppo, Says NGO
Hospitals in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo are overwhelmed by injured civilians after a string of regime air raids, an aid group said Tuesday, calling the situation "catastrophic".
More than 500 people have been killed in Aleppo province over the past two weeks as the Syrian regime drops explosives-packed barrels on residential areas and on schools, markets and hospitals, Medecins du Monde said in a statement.
The aid group, which supports seven medical networks in the war-torn country, said its partners on the ground in Aleppo had described a "catastrophic medical situation".
"I will forever be haunted by what I have seen these past few days," one Syrian doctor was quoted as saying.
"It's even worse than chemical weapons, as at least (with those) you die in one piece."
Most hospitals are packed with patients and are running short of medical gear, the group said.
"Ambulances are damaged, destroyed or don't have fuel anymore," it added.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based watchdog, at least 151 children were among those killed in the province since December 15.
More than 126,000 people have died in Syria since the beginning of the conflict in March 2011.
What happend to the documentation of the Adra Massacre Naharnet? You have been posting news about this for weeks now. Get real NEWS from Syria please, to atleast prove you have some sort of dignity and journalism in you.
Yes there nothing in syria, just a bunch of takfiris.... Well someday it will be payback time mystic... France royalty ended with a guillotine.. Let assad take his time to chose how to end...
Mystic - The Adra massacre has been grossly exaggerated. There has been executions by rebel forces but these were against Syrian soldiers and did not include civilians. The major massacre committed by the rebel (mostly ISIS and allies) is on the Syrian coastal area. As for massacres and killings, human right organizations agree that the overwhelming majority has been done by the regime. In a span of 10 days, the regime killed over 500 civilians and maimed many thousands in Aleppo. We may despise the extremist organizations in Syria but do not try and defend a criminal regime that slaughters people wholesale.
There has been executions by rebel forces IN ADRA but these were against Syrian soldiers and did not include civilians.
Here is some proof that shows otherwise rafehh.

Stop your Saudi propaganda for the sake of the innocents.
Mystic -fabricated stories, videos and pictures from the regime are nothing new. The revolutionaries were found to use similar tactics but on a smaller scale. People need not belive me or Mystic. They can read reports from the world's most credible human rights organizations such as Human Rights Watch http://www.hrw.org/middle-eastn-africa/syria
God help all those caught in this bloody conflict. I feel for both sides, pro-Bashar and those who are fighting against him. Even those soldiers will be happier in peaceful times.
Let's hope that a political solution could be found sparing thousands of lives and all refugees return back to their lands.
No human deserves this.
The Observatory for Human Rights is usually identified as a pro-rebel activist. It is one person in London. "Watchdog" suggests neutrality. Other news services have given up using this identification for this person.
This tells us something about France these days.
then i assume it is all lies, that everyone is fine in aleppo and no civilians suffer from anything thanks to the nice baath regime, right? LOL
Just for the record peace. The regime in Syria is anything but Baathist. The founders of the Baath were either jailed or exiled. The most respected of the founders was Michel Aflaq was sentenced to death!!!
