Berri Hails Hariri's National Position on Forming New Government
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةSpeaker Nabih Berri welcomed former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's announcement that he is willing to take part in a government that includes Hizbullah as a political party, reported As Safir newspaper on Saturday.
He hailed the former premier's national position, “which he set as a priority above all else despite the difficult situation in Lebanon.”
The speaker's sources meanwhile told al-Joumhouria newspaper that he had intensified efforts to form a cabinet “as soon as possible, especially given the precarious security situation in the Bekaa and the North.”
Hariri on Friday announced that he is showing positivity in the cabinet formation process, noting that Hizbullah is a political party that is leading a “big coalition.”
He noted that he has not offered “concessions” concerning participation in a cabinet containing Hizbullah and its allies, stressing that “according to the principle of trials, any accused is innocent until proven guilty.”
He made his reference to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon whose trial of four Hizbullah members opened this week.
Berri needs to watch out and remember that we do not accept hizbushaitan trilogy of people/resistance/army, and they have to abide effectively by the Baabda accord.
Hello mc, I thought you said the militia was going to clean out the camps… if they are all going to be cleaning out the camps, who will protect Lebanon when Hariri leads the horde of capitalist/Zionist/bankers you kept warning us about?
Palestenian camps should be disarmed of course as the national dialogue agreed on disarming military camps outside palestinian camps for a start few years ago but unfortunately so lebanese party didnot stick to the word and protected gebril and co.... Guess who?
Baaba declaration was adopted by all but certain political parties (again) did refuted it after... Again guess who...
As long as hezbos are in syria and as long as they didnot retriet (aka baabda declaration) hariri shouldnot fall in the trap, if he does the hell with him and all march 14..... I'll just go vote march 8 next time and hope any patriotic lebanese would do the same (yes we are not sheeps..)
And please stop with resistance retoric, true patriotic resistants were assassinated by hezbollah and co to take control over south lebanon and were forced to stop resistance work(despite comunists still conducted operations till 2000 with Number of them being killed before reaching the frontiers and others on their way back and that was georges hawi saying on national tv so not some stories i am making...), so please be honest call them islamic resistance (their official name) or hezbollah...
Ant good morning mcknil, chupachups?...
@ general_puppet & imagine_1979
The time is now for all parties and sects to dramatically reassess their positions for the good of Lebanon.
The vast majority of Lebanese do not buy into your hatred that would only lead to more violence and economic turmoil.
The vast majority of Lebanese want to turn the situation around to prosperity and peace not continue to destroy Lebanon and their families.
mckinl, I think the vast majority of Lebanese have a hatred of foreign occupation. Be it Israeli, Syrian or the Iranian militia, non of them have the right to force their will on Lebanon.
No of course not a threat... But were all the official televised speech of nassrallah with his finger pointed to march 14, blqck shirts, 7ayyar, covering STL suspects, telling that he was readdy to cut of hands... Threats?...
What do u think?...
KSA... US....EU.... UK... Russia....China... Syria... Caliphates.... quickly.... having said that.... Syria... resistance.... and finally ..... VICTORY!
There is no victory ... there is only an end to the bloodshed. No group can claim "victory" as there are no winners only losers, the largest group being the people of Syria ...
"No group can claim "victory"… does that not apply to the Iranian militia, they are always claiming & celebrating one Glorious Victory or another.
@ general_puppet
Despite all their proclamations HA has paid a steep price for their so called victories. They have had to fight because their backs were against the wall.
HA has lost many men, spent many millions of dollars and stressed their ties to many allies and EU countries. They have seen their relationship with the Palestinians and Hamas fall apart.
Apart from the military aspects HA has been hurt, as have all Lebanese, by the economic, social and security deterioration in Lebanon itself. As I have said: There are no winners, only losers.
But what did hezbos do to make that change? They are still holding on their position and just asking all other to approve with no conditions... Man u r really such a good analyst thank u, really... Plus one mcknil, bravo...
What are rambling about a Hizbullah is an Iranian militia they exist only to serve the Ayatollahs purpose and they are fighting in Syria to protect their Axis partner Assad. If your memory is so bad, let me reming you that the Lebanese have paid the heaviest price of all at the hands of the Assad's & their lackeys.
dream on :)
do you think KSA would give a cent to the LAF if there is a shred of doubt these weapons would go to hizbushaitan? :)
iran gave assurances that hizbushaitan would be disbanded immediately :)
Zionist/takfiri/imperialist canibal alian comited those 14 anti syrian regime political assassination???
What an amazining analysis, so KSA went out and assassinated kassir, hawi...chateh, all antisyrian regime poltician after it (plus attempt on marwan hmadeh, may chidiak, elias el murr..) according to ur analysis?..
Please can u elaborate?
Rouhani seems to be more modern than ahmadinajad, at least till now, i hope he will continu so we can have some peace and iranian people a litle more freedom (maybe full access to the internet/facebook/twiter wish was considered as a threat by the great secular and democratic gardians on the islamic iranian revolution???
But dear joseph what abou khomayini who it (saddely but truelly) the suprem leader of the islamic iranian revolution and not rouhani?
Sorry for my nickname and my age but i would sugest u to read a litle more...maybe u will get ur facts right...
Anyway plus one for the effort man, bravo
Thx bro, i appreciate our debate even if we have different opinions...
Hv a nice day, plus one to u 2...
Well i'm not muslim to be islamist, secular so cannot really be takfiri (cause christians as any other religion can be takfiri) and i never tried human flesh...
But i thank u for the very high level of ur coments joseph, very elaborated and constructive...
Plus one again man, bravo....
is it a bigger surprise than the dozens of thousands of dead SAA fighters from 2011 till now? is it a bigger surprise than half of syria being in the hands of FSA/IF rebels? dont bother answering. just give me the thumbs down from your 6 accounts, then i will know that i really made you squirm.
you sound like a 15 year old conspiracy theorist from dahye. your gibberish is not interesting, you do not have inside information about anything, and you are a worthless human being to boot.
The politicians, they make you the people hate each other, they make you fight each other, then at the end of the day they the ploticians will agree with each other and catch you all gasping for air. It's 2014, and so far nothing's changed, nothing.
@Penola: Well we had bunch of christian takfiri during civil war no? As for how much in the middle est i cannot give u numbers but in anyway the proportion of christians there is alreaddy low so the absolute number of christian takfiri must be low, as for the proportion of christian takfiri is debatable... U must look for low income ones such as in central affrica, in the poor (here again it is relative) states in united states, in rural france area... Enno they do exist... But what's ur point penola...
What would be also usefull is to look also at the secular democratic progressist islamic republic of iran with its great gardians of the revolution (so modern guys) and his suprem leader...
But here also it's questionable, no?
These politicians are good actors. The sad part is they are playing with Lebanon's future and our lives. The tragedy is never ending. The circus continues. They treat these ministerial portfolios like their rights to manipulate.
The biggest farce is that Berri/Hezb succeeded in delaying the previous parliamentary elections so that this current Parliament will elect the next President as they wanted. So, we'll have another 6 years of the same status quo shit. How come no one is talking about the Parliamentary elections BEFORE the presidential ones?
Will Lebanon ever get non-corrupt politicians and a true democracy?
hey bigjohn, in a majoritarian system people in safe districts tend not to vote, among many other things which would alter the popular vote% of whatever group. this means that your 45/55% crap has no application to real life other than being stupid M8 propaganda that shows really how uneducated most of you are.
