Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun has stressed during a ceremony to commemorate the army martyrs that “we will pursue the path of struggle in order to build the country that they dreamed of and were martyred for its sake.”

In a ceremony organized by the FPM in Northern Metn’s Dbaye district, Aoun added: “We had fought along their side not to meet death, but rather to live freely on this land, and we had always known that some of us would sacrifice to salvage the others.”

“They fell in the arena of honor, giving value to our existence, a meaning to our lives and a symbol to our dignity,” Aoun, the former army commander, added.

Lebanon will celebrate its 66th national Army Day on Monday.

To: Michel AOUN

We will stand at your grave and laugh,
Rejoicing that it is deep enough,
So that no one would have to weep
And have nightmares when at sleep.

Our dream would have been fulfilled;
Your cynical face, permanently hate filled,
Will not any more appear on the News,
But go in the History’s bin as do old shoes.

You have always been slanderous,
Liar, deceitful, shrewish and treacherous!
Confident that all people will remain blind,
You have messed with the people’s minds.

You were cause for the death of many,
Innocents and soldiers, and did not regret any.
Cowardly, your criminal ego chose
To run away and hide; in your nightclothes.

No one will stand at your grave and cry,
For, at all times, you were a lie!

Funny, cause he forgot about the army soldiers imprisoned in Syria.

Constructive bloggers you all are. Very rational and respectful. No wonder your leaders are out of the cabinet, absolutely no surprise. On a more serious note, all honor and praise to our army.

this coward should know all about army mertyrs as he was responsible for the death of many of them and now he's friends and a slave to the same people who killed them

Leb4all, please do not comment anymore if you will talk nonsense as usual, whether you are March 8th or March 14th, michel aoun is siding with the same side and regime that killed his soldiers in 91 , and he is praising them now after running away like a chicken and living la vida loca in Paris for 15 years and after returning a traitor? the problem is with you FPM followers, is that you do not understand before you will suffer from all this '' alliance '' or should i say ''submission '' that Aoun gave to Hezbollah, i hope next time your town and your home will burn to the ground and we will see if you will call it a divine victory, go play with your pig hassouné, the Zionist Iranian Syrian agent working for everybody exept for Lebanon.

GMA you are the King of Lebanon - fotgive them , they are a very tiny minority insulting you here on naharnet , they dont know what they are doing .. That's what our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to do .

I wonder how the brave martyrs slaughtered by Syria as you hid in the French Embassy would feel about the country you are 'building'.

Would these heros applaud your selling our country to Iran in exchange for your clinging to an appearance of power?

Or would they feel you have betrayed them again 20 years later??

Pacifier, you just proved my point further, more reasons why you're out. Call Aoun a traitor, a puppet, or whatever makes you a bigger idiot. Aoun has 10 ministers in the cabinet and fought hard for his earned Christian representation, ministries of the highest standard, unlike the Christian posts the previous governments under the Hariris, they'd give the Christians tourism and unimportant posts. A man may always change his stance depending on mistakes he's done. Aoun noticed his mistakes and worked on them. You keep insulting Syria and Iran andby all means do so, but do remember who invited them- the LF was it? Who allowed the Palestinians in via the Cairo agreement- the Phalanges was it? And what did these moves do to our country? Destruction and wrath wasn't it? Aren't these two parties I named part of M14 and isn't the third party's leader more inexperienced in politics than your watchman (Saadoun)? As I said, no surprise they're out of power, absolutely none.

Aoun made an alliance with the strongest party with unshakable support. A party whose leader is hiding underground to protect our borders from the Zionists, not tanning in Monaco holding dual citizenship. Did any of M14's leaders send his sons to fight in the battlefield and was martyred? Nope, they were only cashing bigger cheques to maintain his family status and promote the son. Hariris, Gemayels and thankfully, Geagea can't get any children to kill more Lebanese. You lash out at Syrian and Iranian backing, yet what did the USA and France do for us? The USA cut military suppliers after our army defended itself last summer and the french never helped us get rid of the Syrian hegemony, did the USA help cut our public debt, improve our technology, helped with co-existence amongst our people? Has Iran's influence which was always there affected our nightlife, the way we dress and freedoms? Stop with your weak rthetoric about their negative influence and appreciate that they helped

regain our land. You probably feel it's not our land because you're not a shiite but neither am I, yet the difference between is how sectarian you are and how blinded by M14's blind hatred. All sectarian and foreign influence aside, 500 million dollars has been invested by the USA to tarnish HA's image in this country, I wonder where they've been invested. Hmmm, political leaders in M14, Journalists such as the ones in this website, bloggers. And then your leaders point out nobody can eliminate the other, your damn well trying to and I don't see Iranian dolllars being used to tarnish other groups in Lebanon but only our Southern neighbor. Divine victory my friend, you can't know much about it. Now run along and be hateful.

@leb4all

You really should read a book, learn some history beyond the orange banners and leaflets.

Historically Aoun is a coward,traitor, and cares only for Micheal Aoun.

Now he is powerless, nods his head up and down when Nasrallah tells him to and his only act of 'power' was to keep us without a gov until he could get his retarded Son-in-law the post he wanted.
