Mansour: Wazzani Attack Will Be Referred to U.N.

W460

Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour condemned on Monday the clash that broke out this morning between the Lebanese and Israeli armies at Wazzani in the South, saying that it is part of Israel’s ongoing violations of Lebanon have been taking place since 2006.

He added: “We will make the necessary contacts to the concerned sides and inform our mission to the United Nations to address the matter at the international organization.”

“We condemn this attack and consider it a violation of U.N. Security Council resolution 1701,” he continued.

“We are confident that the army will confront any Israeli attack or violation of the resolution, which we are committed to as opposed to Israel that violates it on a daily basis,” noted the minister.

Clashes broke out Monday morning between the Lebanese and Israeli units when a Jewish state patrol crossed the Blue Line into Lebanon.

My dear Sir, we can resort to the UN to claim our case once, and then bow to the pelting of the UN soldiers in the South. We can' t use international institutions to protect us while we have those calling the shots behind curtains, and holding a majority in the governenment deal with international resolutions the 1757 in particular like they are. We have to choose sides, either a law abiding state part of the international community or a pariah confrontational state, going its own way, You can' t have both!

The truth is that the biggest pariah state in the world who has violated more UN resolutions than the world put together is the terrorist state of Israel. Only the liberation of ALL of palestine will solve this issue. The West stopped supporting Apartheid South Africa 2 decades ago and worked for the elimination of the racist state. The West must do the same with Apartheid Israel if they want to be relevant in the future.

Muhsin: What kind of civil rights the Palestinian in Lebanon or any other Arabian states getting more than in the Apartheid state -Israel?. Can they elect to the parliament ? do they get social benefits? can they liver any place? are they free to travel? are they treated as human beings? Kuwait for example kicked out all Palestinian after being liberated from Iraqi invasion. King Hussein of Jordan slaughtered them by thousands in one month more than Israel killed in 65 years .
Israel is the only state who allows the Israeli Arabs to elect and being elected to the Knesset. also they are getting from the Apartheid state full social benefits.
You may continue dreaming about liquidating the state of Israel same as all Arabs do and fail. Fact is that the Arabs succeed more by killing themselves as in Iraq. Same as in Syria and Libya, Yemen, the civil war in Lebanon, Continue your good job kill yourself and blame Israel for all of the Arabian world troubles.

I agree with you Muhsin about Israel and its non respect of International resolutions. However I have to look from our angle , the lebanese one how WE can get away with the non respect of international resolutions and what are the consequences for us. It is an illusion to think that the few missiles the Hizb has accumulated puts it in a deterrent position suxh as the USSR was in the cold war days with the US. This strategy will only bring destruction and mayhem on us , and in any case, I dont give as a Lebanese, a mandate to the Hizb to decide it alone on for me and drag us in a foolish bloody adventure which wil be as much a victory for us as Oum Al Ma3arek was for Saddam. We dont want to be another Tchechnia , turn the country to rubble, and then shout Victory!
