Rockets fired from the Lebanese-Syrian border landed Tuesday on the outskirts of the Bekaa town of al-Bazzaliyeh and nearby areas.

“At 4:45 p.m., five rockets fired from the Syrian side of the border hit the plain of the towns of Hrabta, al-Bazzaliyeh and al-Labweh in the Baalbek-Hermel district, causing no casualties,” the Lebanese Army said in a statement.

“At once, an army force arrived on the scene and took the appropriate measures as a military expert inspected the places where the rockets landed,” it added.

Earlier on Tuesday, al-Manar television said four rockets launched from the eastern mountain range landed on the outskirts of al-Bazzaliyeh.

It later reported that "today's rockets were fired from an area southeast of Wadi al-Raayan in Arsal's outskirts, specifically from the ranch of (Muslim cleric) Mustafa al-Hujairi, aka Abou Taqiyyeh."

"A takfiri group whose name was mentioned many times in investigations into bomb-laden cars is behind the rocket attack on al-Bazzaliyeh," al-Manar added.

Lebanon's National News Agency reported that the rockets were fired from the Arsal region of Halimat Qara in the eastern mountain range.

A number of rockets had been fired from the Syrian side of the border against the Bekaa since Hizbullah's acknowledgment of its fighting in the Syrian conflict alongside the country's ruling regime.

The “Marwan Hadid Brigades” usually claim responsibility for such border attacks.

Look at that black flag. The flag of death, medievalism and darkness. Be careful people, they are at our door. Unite!

Thumb popeye 18 February 2014, 17:16

who brought them to our door?

quoting a post from "warplane" yesterday:

You can find videos of rebels saying their goal is a caliphate across the sham as prophecized more than 1600 years ago. And even though this prophecy has been thought of as becoming realized many times in the past, with catastrophic failure, it nevertheless doesn't seem to be hindering gullible fools' tendency to think this time round some non-existent god will help brainwashed cannon fodder erect this long-awaited pipe-dream. My point is, Lebanon was undoubtedly next when ISIS, NSRA, and dozens, hundreds of actual terrorist-affiliated groups were welcomed by the 'popular' revolution (imo an invasion). So yeah, giving them the chance to surround our border with a country next to ours some 40 times larger than ours as a training ground isn't the wisest choice you can make. Push came to shove, buddy, push came to shove indeed.

no need to quote it mowaten, it is as if you wrote it yourself)

It was always their plan to deal with Lebanon after Syria. Early in the revolution, their were posting of their FB page (Syrian Revolution) that their brother in "Trablous al Shaam" are supporting them. They wrote this many, many times. Please check their FB page and scroll down to the early days of the revolution when the Islamists started to show up with their black flags. When you read "Trablous al Shaam", that's an indicator that those people have bigger plans.
As I wrote the other day, HA's actions in Syria probably made them more rabid, but I say it was a matter of time anyway, with our without HA's actions.
And now it doesn't matter. They are at the door and I think that it is imperative that we put our differences aside and confront them. They are more dangerous than any enemy we have ever had to deal with.

I await the day when I will read ONE meaningful post, ONE counter argument, ONE credible or mature info from you,-_Flamethrower_- , but alas!

flamethrower, can you explain what your contribution to this article or any other article for that matter is except sabotage and offering silly unrelated comments. What relevance is your presence on this forum.... ?!

It saddens me deeply when I hear or read of rockets falling on the Bekaa or Hermel. Am I being emotional here?

Thumb popeye 18 February 2014, 17:24

hahaha, no it's perfectly alright))

Thumb EagleDawn 18 February 2014, 18:31

southern, is there a middle ground with people like you? How about I don't support them and I don't support your hizb. Is that possible in your mind..... I doubt it.

and here we have our brave hezbi soldiers commenting when they never comment when akkar is shelled.... double standard hypocrit antilebanese people is all what they are....

Thumb cedre 18 February 2014, 21:38

everytime HA is in difficulty and it needs a rocket in Hermel or a bombing in Dahieh, it happens...
One should always ask itself : qui bono ?

I'm not saying that there is no lunatics or takfiris in syria, but for what reason would sensible rebels fighting in qalamoun shell lebanon, knowing that grad has no accuracy/warhead power + bekaa is low density + shelling civilians would harm their interests by giving a alibi to hizbos ?

I'm sure that those rockets are fired by HA/assad to cover this :

Thumb Senescence 19 February 2014, 14:55

cedre, I do not think they care about giving an alibi to HA since it is already involved. I'd also like to remind you that AlQaida has exclusively claimed responsibility for the attacks most of the times.
