Tension mounted in the northern city of Tripoli on Wednesday as roads were blocked and sniper activity was recorded between the neighborhoods of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh.

"A limiter scale exchange of fire took place between Tripoli's two rival neighborhoods after a man was arrested for shooting at Jabal Mohsen resident Bassel Hatwiq,” the state-run National News Agency reported.

The NNA said that troops are responding to the sources of fire, noting that calm was restored in the area.

Meanwhile LBCI said a group of young men blocked the northern Malloula road to protest the arrest of Radwan al-Qari, who shot Jabal Mohsen resident Bassel Dibo.

"The army closed the Malloula highway with barbed wire,” radio Voice of Lebanon (93.3) said.

"Sniper activity was recorded on the Malloula frontier,” it added.

Later in the evening, LBCI noted that the Malloula street was reopened after promises that al-Qari will be released on Thursday.

no, i think those behind these bombings should be arrested, but first get proof. political accusations are not enough.
