Arab Summit Says Capabilities of Lebanese Armed Forces should be Strengthened

Arab leaders lauded on Wednesday the role of the Lebanese armed forces, stressing the importance to consolidate their capabilities to reach stability in the country.
The closing statement of the two-day Arab League summit held in Kuwait also vowed full support to the Lebanese state and called for the necessary political and economic support to preserve its security and stability and sovereignty on all its territories.
The so-called Kuwait Declaration lauded “Lebanon's resistance against Israeli occupation, mainly in the July 2006 aggression.”
The Arab leaders expressed solidarity with the Lebanese Republic, called for the implementation of U.N. Security Council resolution 1701 and for putting an end to Israeli violations.
President Michel Suleiman addressed the summit on Tuesday, demanding Arab nations to share the burden of Syrian refugees.
He also urged them to encourage factions to keep the country at a distance from the ongoing turmoil in Syria.

Ok, provide the funding and we will buy from both Western and Russians so that no biased ideas are filling the air...we get it the west won't provide anti-air missiles but we need to shoot down any jets that enters the southern and bekaa which encompasses both Israeli and Syrian jets. Syrian public enemy are the Sunni and Israeli public enemy are Hizbollah. If both are disarmed and the state army is capable to shoot down attackers then peace and Cyprus will be the only neighboring friendly state.

I think the plan is to put the entire Lebanese population on the payroll as a sort of Buffalo Bill traveling wild-west show to go around the various Arab countries and demonstrate how to have a modern state which nevertheless preserves Arab traditions like autocracy, maladministration, and dynastic decline. Coming soon to an amphitheatre near you! At least it will be a steady income. Do you have to bring your own servants or will they be provided? Can you imagine Hezbullah all dressed up in their native regalia rushing around on their little motorcycles shooting RPG's at the LAF in their obsolete tanks? The crowds will love it. They will not be given a choice in the matter.
