Report: Murr to Revive Ties with Aoun

MP Michel Murr is expected to meet with his former ally Free Patriotic Movement chief MP Michel Aoun “soon” after differences drew them apart five years ago, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Friday.
Murr will visit Aoun in Rabieh “very soon” to revive their alliance in the Metn district and agree on the presidential elections, the daily said.
Aoun, who is a Maronite, hasn't yet officially announced his candidacy for the presidency.
President Michel Suleiman's six-year term ends on May 25.
The post of the head of state is reserved to Maronites under the 1943 power-sharing agreement.
The constitutional deadline for the election of a new head of state started on March 25 but Speaker Nabih Berri is yet to call for a session.
Al-Akhbar quoted Murr, an Orthodox, as telling a three-member parliamentary committee from Berri's bloc that he would vote for Aoun if he was a serious candidate.
Berri formed the committee to press political parties and the heads of parliamentary blocs to guarantee a quorum during the election session.

FT, Michel el Murr is one of Lebanon's biggest traitors. I hope Aoun will not partner with him and repeat his mistake of partnering with Hezbollah.
Aoun was once the anti-syrian, pro-sovereignty champion.
Backing Murr just like backing Sayyed just like backing Hezbollah is throwing your reputation, dignity, integrity in the sewers.

1- Nayla tueni got the most votes out of all politicians in achrafieh. She got them because her father GEBRAN was a great man. Possibly one of the greatest politicians in Lebanon's recent history. Her grandfather has nothing to do with that. Now whether or not she deserves these votes is another story
2- Aoun cannot be considered an "Anti-Syrian". If he is still Anti-Syrian (Gov) as you state, then he should condemn Assad's actions and distance himself from Hezbollah.
3- My party ? What is my party exactly ? And the only one marketing himself as a Syrian (gov) lover is Aoun who fails to condemn Assad's actions on his people and on Lebanon. Assad who violates our sovereignthy daily and whom you AOUNIE supporters cheer !
You're the one marketing Aoun as a pro-syrian lover :)

An old fox trying to teach another new tricks. Michel El Murr, an opportunist to the very bone marrow, a man who swears by the holy Rosary, keeps the pictures of the Saints in his pockets yet believes that we believe him. El Murr (the engineer), steals big money from places like Nigeria (where he dares not return), gets the Mechanique to his son Elias, now stands with this, then with this' opponent, an old fox who doesn't know yet that both he and the old man Aoun have got the word expired firmly stuck on their foreheads. What more can be said for these two stooges who remain Syrian lackeys by any standard.
