6 People, Including Child, Killed in Shooting over Property Ownership in Bekaa

Six people, including a child, were killed on Tuesday in a shooting over property ownership between the Kanaan and Issa families in the eastern Bekaa valley, the Army command and media reports said.
A member of the Issa family and five Kanaan family members were killed in the shooting during the traditional visit of cemeteries on the first day of Eid al-Fitr in the Baalbek town of al-Khraibeh, the National News Agency said.
Voice of Lebanon radio station identified the shooter as Fayez Jaafar Issa. It said the man killed his sister, her husband and their children over an old dispute on land ownership.
The Internal Security Forces and the Army have carried out several raids in the area to arrest those involved in the incident, NNA said.
The army command said that the military threw a tight security dragnet around the scene of the incident.

Even the victims belonged to the same sect the LSM will use this tragedy to spread hatred and division among the Lebanese ....If every Lebanese citizen becomes responsible Lebanon will be safe..

This is a family feud that has nothing to do with politics.
I wish for a day when people stop using violence to solve their problems! Innocent victims have become dirt because of a fight over a piece of dirt.

I beg to differ, the majority of Lebanese are primitive and tribal. The simple example: The first 3 "smart" comments on this: They HAD to include a sect, they HAD to include politics and finally they HAD to sack each other out.

If this shocks you, wait till you read the report on Aline Skaf, Hannibal Gaddafi's wife, torturing the nanny of her kid with boiling water.
That tells you something about savagery in the Arab World. It takes a couple of generations of democracy and structured education for a people to start to become civilized. We haven't started yet.

This is a tragic event, my thoughts and prayters go to those involved. Please do not politicise it, even thought it highlights the tribal mentality that still dominates prts of the lebanese society.
