Hariri to Continuously Visit Lebanon without Settling in it

Head of al-Mustaqbal Movement and former Premier MP Saad Hariri will reportedly return to Lebanon but will not settle in the country.

Sources close to al-Mustaqbal movement told al-Akhbar newspaper published on Friday, that Hariri will definitely return to Beirut in a time to be revealed later on.

The sources noted that the ex-premier will not settle in Lebanon like before as he will “have to be continuously traveling to follow up the political and security developments.”

Hariri headed to Jeddah on Wednesday after he made a surprise return to Lebanon last week after three years abroad.

The sources told the newspaper that the Mustaqbal chief achieved the purpose of his return which is gathering the Sunni sect again, the election of a new Grand Mufti and supporting the army.

On Sunday, head of the Sunni Sharia Supreme Court of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, 61, was unanimously elected as the country's new Grand Mufti after a three year crisis that led to division among Sunni leaderships.

The sources also described Hariri's meetings with Speaker Nabih Berri and Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat as “more than good.”

Hariri, during his short visit to Beirut, held meetings with senior officials and discussed the latest Saudi-financed $1 billion grant to Lebanese security forces to boost the fight against terrorism.
