Miqati: Lebanon Will Not Meddle in Affairs of Any Arab State
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةPrime Minister Najib Miqati stressed on Thursday that Lebanon is capable of overcoming the difficult phase the region is going through as it did in the past in overcoming several crises that affected its economic and social sectors.
He said during the opening of the Arab Investment Conference for Banking, Industry, Tourism and Real Estate held in Beirut: “We are keen on refraining from meddling in the affairs of any Arab country.”
“The dialogue and political, economic, and social reform we are adopting in our constitutional institutions is the best example of this,” he added.
“We are working on placing a comprehensive economic and developmental plan aimed at encouraging Arab and foreign investment,” continued the premier.
“Cabinet recently approved an electricity project according to the norms and we succeeded in overcoming all political obstacles that impeded it,” Miqati stressed.
“We hope that this plan would pave the way for several other projects in various other fields,” he hoped.
as for miqati, so far so good.
wise he is.
of course with politicians in lebanon you never know (except for nasrallah, you always know where is his stance, private or public)
but with miqati, so far so good.
nice change for awhile
And if they did not meddle with us , you would not the Prime Minister . Resign at once ya HYPOCRITE
you see how miqati is good when filthy zionist information war department attacks him.
the zionist filthy militia information war department have a problem when other arab states meddle into our affairs for 1 reason only: the zionist entity wants to the only one who meddles into our affairs.
iran and syria dont tell us what to do. they dont threaten us.. they dont give us ultimatums. they offer help. what does the degenerate american do for us besides put us in line to protect Israel? do you think americans have freedom? they are slaves to the system that fattened them and deterioriated they're minds. hijacked by the power of the dollar..
No but the arab countries will meddle in our affairs, so there is no need Mr Miquati to return the favour
@ Juicy
You are PHENOMENAL!!
"iran and syria dont tell us what to do. they dont threaten us.. they dont give us ultimatums. they offer help"
Errrr.... have you forgottent the siege of Achrafieh of the syrian army, years of occupation, of theft, of abuses, hundreds of prisoners of war we never found, the mass graves found in yarze, in Anjar, the tortures at Beaurivage, the financing and training of the Narh el Bared terrorists, the assassinations in 2005 and ever since??
For years, Lebanese cityzens were not alloud to breath without assads aproval, and our last governments since the end of the war were constantly comming and going to Damascus to take the aproval for the slightest decision!
Juicy! Are you living in a cave with HN??
@thepatriot...
yes and for 30 FKNG years, the syrian regime has been robbing the Lebanese government... To offset this large imbalance, our central bank (which has done a glorious job of keeping lebanon economically stable) just kept raising our taxes...and printing money...every year was worse than the previous in terms of inflation and the high rise in the cost of living..
Everybody who was a "za3im" was taking a cut and feeding his surroundings.. Lebanon isnt in debt because of hariri (who took his cut from rebuilding beirut or jumblat (same file as always) or aoun (who left with over 30 million usd) or Berri (the biggest scoundrel of them all) - (cant say that geagea or kataeb stole since they were not a part of the political system for a long time...
A large portion of our debt is because of the Syrian regime that demanded payments. So once this regime falls...i would expect that the lebanese government demand repayment and compensation for the new government..Let 3Ao lead the way
@ follow up
Agreed.
