Larijani Describes Hizbullah as Effective Movement
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةIran's visiting Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Monday that Hizbullah is an active movement and plays a positive role in the region.
“Some movements are more effective than states. Hizbullah is an example. It plays a positive role in the region,” he said.
“Lebanon is the country which has confronted the Zionist enemy and taught it an important lesson,” Larijani said during a lecture at the Lebanese University's Faculty of Law.
“The resistance of the Lebanese people against the enemy is an honor for the Islamic World,” he added.
The Iranian official later held a press conference at the Phoenicia Hotel, during which he noted that “Lebanon's Christians must play the main role in the issue of the presidential elections.”
“Iran wants to see a quick solution for this crisis,” Larijani added.
“Some consultations have taken place in this regard and we were contacted regarding the French endeavor to resolve the presidential crisis,” he revealed.
Ruling out any incursion into Lebanon by the extremist Islamic State group, Larijani pointed out that “the main responsibility in the issue of the abducted Lebanese servicemen must fall on the shoulders of the states that supported the terrorist groups.”
The official, however, expressed his country's willingness to offer help in this regard.
Larijani arrived in Beirut on Monday. He was accompanied by the Iranian foreign minister's deputy for Arab and African affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
He first met with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail and then went into talks with Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh.
He is scheduled to meet with other top Lebanese officials.
Larijani met in Damascus on Sunday with Syria's President Bashar Assad, who told him that his regime is working on "reconciliations" to end the brutal civil war, state news agency SANA said.
However, Assad also said that Syria will continue to fight "terror" -- a term the regime has used for its opponents, both armed and peaceful, since the outbreak of a 2011 revolt.
"Assad emphasized the Syrian people's determination to eradicate terrorism," said SANA, adding that he would also continue to press for "national reconciliations... all over Syrian territory,” SANA added.
"Assad emphasized the Syrian people's determination to eradicate terrorism," said SANA
Berri: We will continue on supporting the Palestinian people and their cause.
He massacred the Palestinians but he supports them.
he did not "massacre" anyone, there were fights between amal and certain armed factions. death tolls on both sides were comparable, that is called battles, not massacres.
if you need examples, what the kataeb did to unarmed palestinians in sabra & chatila under the watchful eye of sharon, or what israel did this summer to the besieged gaza population, are massacres.
and since you're such a living history book, can you tell me who was fighting against amal, alongside the palestinians?
Idiot Momo "under the watchful eye of Sharon" are you sure it wasn't Hobeiqa carrying out Syrian orders???? If Sharon wanted a massacre he would have tanks level the camps...
I respect the Larijani clan, the Flamethrower clan, the Mowaten clan, and the Mystic clan equally.
The majority of the Christians and Muslims welcome you to Lebanon. You are the most welcome to attend a Christmas mass as well
yea peace, go to iran and see how christians are treated. jews as well for that matter. you're so stuck up in your misconceptions and propaganda rhetoric it's pathetic
to the two morons above... the main difference between fanatics like you and me is that i do not deny how bad christians are treated in saudi... whereas you two morons will do anything you can to say that christians are well treated in iran....
why don't you acknowledge that christians are not treated well in iran? you have a pb with that? bad for your propaganda? or you are just two ignorant fools?
you are pathetic in your desperate attempts to defend your pimp...
I would say to the 2 morons above: yes go and see how Christians are treated in iran :) so many articles of exactions against Christians, andeven against muslims for not conforming to the strict extremists laws :)
the above 2 morons are hilarious.
their hizbushaitan has finally admitted several terrorist activities like the bomb on the bus in hongaria(I think) and in south America, but they will continue denying it.
lol two ignorant propagandists calling others morons
There are several major religious minorities in Iran, Bahá'ís (est. 300,000-350,000)[3][42][43] and Christians (est. 300,000,[3] with one group composing over 200,000[44]) being the largest. Smaller groups include Jews, Zoroastrians, Mandaeans, Yarsan (Ahl-e Haqq), as well as local religions practiced by tribal minorities.[29][45]
Zoroastrians, Jews, and Christians are officially recognized and protected by the government. For example, shortly after his return from exile in 1979, at a time of great unrest, the revolution's leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini issued a fatwa ordering that Jews and other minorities be treated well.[46][47]
Contemporary status
The constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran recognizes Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism as official religions. Article 13 of the Iranian Constitution, recognizes them as People of the Book and they are granted the right to exercise religious freedom in Iran.[42][48] Five of the 270 seats in parliament are reserved for these each of these three religions.
officially recognized non-Muslim minorities are allowed to produce alcoholic beverages for their own consumption and for religious rites such as the Eucharist (two of the four religious minorities guaranteed representation in the Majlis, the Armenians and Assyrians, are Christian, the former being chiefly Armenian Apostolic and the latter being predominantly Chaldean Eastern Catholic). Bringing alcohol into Iran is disallowed for Muslim citizens, but Christians and Jews are allowed.
and LOOOL at your US state department sources. let me guess, did they also tell you that iran has WMDs like saddam and that osama was burried at sea?
"According to US-based Barnabas Fund" with no further sources or specifics.
That's quite easy slash, and pretty cheap, even for you
"Flamethrower.-..
quoting Marxist site Wikipedia for historical events sure serves your non existent credibility."
But suddenly wikipedia becomes the paid mouthpieces best point of reference and serves their non existent credibility!!!!
and slash yes the bahais situation is bad, but we were talking about christians. and just wondering, since you seem to know so much about bahis and care so much about them: do you know why they are persecuted?
where's you reference eagleyawn? never saw you quoting anything but flamethrower's comments and mine. it's flattering, but someday you should also try reading other stuff
mooowaten, i advise you to read the human rights IRANIAN site... it ll educate yourself about the situation in iran which you take as an example....
sorry idiot FT to criticize your glorious revolution, but fact is fact and the anger it brings you when we point it drives you mad... poor worm.
i advise you to read about how chrisitians are treated in iran despite your claim that everything is fine LOL
but you prefer to hide your head in the sand to protect and glorify those who feed you... poor little dog you are...
hint : dozens and dozens of sites deal with it... so no excuse to ignore the facts only if you want to stay in the ignorance that characterizes you....
yet you defend iran in these posts... funny isn't it? LOL
" saying that i support the iranian revolution"
then CRITICIZE the treatment of christians...
if you were not defending the iranian regime... idiot
but all you do is defend them... so spare us you "i-do-not-support-iran" hypocrisy of yours....
1. you support iran to defend the baathist regime... (remember aoun saying that this regime has to be ousted because as long as the assads rule it will never bring good to Lebanon... short memory)
2. your posts all defend the iranian regime and the good way they treat christians..
3. good if yu can live in iran, then go, it ll spare us your idiocy here. i would choose neither iran or KSA both are the same, but only fools like you do not see it...
flamy, how are your clients in KSA who are unable to transfer money to Lebanon after the Saudi authorities banned all money transfers to Lebanon? You still stand by your story, just wondering....LOL
@Karam, who are you to speak on behalf of the Lebanese people...im Lebanese and i dont welcome this terrorist that is trying to hijack our country.
he said the majority. and the majority does. we dont care what a few haters here and there think
Ofcourse slash, that seems to be the only insult you have, when you lack of anything else to say.
How is it, to be living off welfare and never visited Lebanon your whole life? Because you are the offspring of Immigrants.
slash what's wrong? Didn't the western welfare check, pay you enough presents for Christmas?
yet you roll out red carpets for the sponsors of cannibalistic beheaders who kidnapped out soldiers
yet you roll out red carpets for the sponsors of cannibalistic beheaders who kidnapped our soldiers

He is doing well our Engineer. I wish our troops will follow and be freed too, from your beloved Jabhat Al Nusra.
Good to hear that he's doing well. Hope he's not back to engineering bombs to blow up other Lebanese, like his other hizbo engineer friends.
translation: we are broke, and we don't know how to end the war. as we used the hizbis in syria, they are useless now. we are trying to force lebanese majority to take aoun, but you lebanese are really hard to brain wash, you always resist to our propaganda.
Iran's visiting Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Monday that Hizbullah is an active movement and plays a positive role in the region.
as they say el se3dan bi 3ain 2emmo ghazal
poor mowaten you sound like an immature kid completely disconnected from reality, just trying to build some silly rationale based on bits & pieces of propaganda and lies.
once again, eagleyawn has nothing to say, yet desperately needs to say something to feel alive, so he steals my lines.
sure, it is a shame to come and glorify a political movement rather than the country that welcomes you... but for M8ers it is normal as they consider hezbollalalah the state!
“Some movements are more effective than states. Hizbullah is an example. It plays a positive role in the region,”
“The resistance of the Lebanese people against the enemy is an honor for the Islamic World,” he added.
=> and they call other takfiris! LOL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANH2qiFyyEc&feature=youtu.be haters keep hating. Resistance will triumph!
Everybody is free, to join the Resistance brigades, and fight against the takfiris.
Nobody is switching anyone out, people volunteer.
A bad thing for you Texas, is that your takfiris are loosing slowly, and America is loosing their grip on Lebanon.
Everybody knows, that the U.S funded the takfiris to destroy the Resistance. Since your scheme failed, that is a victory for Lebanon itself.
Now the U.S will cut off ties with Lebanon, because the LAF fights the same war as Hezbollah.
I don't open my mouth, when I type Texas. Maybe you do that, but that's another matter.
Fact on the ground is, you know well that the U.S has criticized the LAF leadership, for their joint operation with the Resistance, to combat takfirism.
http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/159349-report-u-s-warns-of-cooperation-between-army-hizbullah-in-battle-against-terror
Yet you deny, that anyone else than the U.S should aid the LAF. De facto, draining Lebanese army, and curse them to remain weak. The U.S never aided the LAF out of heart, they always came with pre conditions, to Israels liking.
Iran will aid the LAF as soon as possible, if the blockade by M14 and the U.S ends.
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/382726.html
miss tic =
1/read the articles you quote before distorting them to your wishes... the US did not criticize the LAF for their combat against takfirism... reread the article you ll understand...
2/ if hezbolalala really wanted the LAF to be strong, no need for saudi or US or iranian weapons... the LAF could be strong if hezbollah integrates it and OBEYS it.... but hezbolalala prefers the army to be weak so they can do whatever they want without having to obey the lebanese laws!
so think a bit before objectively not through the prisma of elmanar...
No texas, it is the other way around. If the U.S really wanted the LAF to be armed, then they would not forbid the Lebanese Government from accepting arms shipments from Iran. As they just did, I might add.
LOL guys.
and you think this plastic knows how to read?
if he read the articles he quoted, he would laugh about his stupidity.
yes anonyme, let's do the test. tell your m14 idols to stop rejecting iran's offers, and we will see if they deliver.
hahaha! You see how you add a flavor to otherwise boring forum. My boss always says watch how flamesrower delivers a message that is all encompassing without being blunt. Somesing Anazar flamesrower!
hass, the guy you discuss with is a pro american. He wants the army to remain weak, such as his beloved congress and Obama. He wants the LAF airforce to be full of unarmed cessna jets.
No wonder, we have a Resistance then. M14 and the U.S will keep our army weak, and drain it slowly. Which is why, we have our Army & Resistance, to take care of each of their business.
hehehe the troll brigade is out. keep logging in an out south-boy, you're going to need a lot of upvotes to safe your ego on this one
Hizbullah is effective... very true !!!The are the best executive puppet the iranian regime and the syrian one can have as allies and dream about...They are perfectly brainwashed, good liars, performant thugs armed like terrorists and pretend to resist occupation by killing, innocent lebanese, syrians, iraquis, bulgarians, taiwanese, egyptians, bahrainies, and the list goes on and on.....And not to forget that they pretend to have faith in GOD and the holly Coran...But God doesn't asked to kill innocent women, children under the cover of Djihadi duty as these hypocrites says. They are certainly not in love with lebanon, they live there but they would rather live in iran...then get the hell out and leave us in peace!!!
"At least four Syrian school children were killed and 10 wounded on Monday when a regime air strike hit their bus in the northwest of the country"
and what about those killing children in a school bus?
mowaten you are wrong shatah got killed by "saudi proxies" free sunnis of baalbek brigade, wahahahaha!!! come to think of it they also pledges allegiance to isil, vowed to silence church bells, claimed responsibility for killing hezballah leader lakkis, for the suicide attack on the army check in arsal, for rockets fired on hermel and a slew of other attacks.. no one else countered those claimed.. but something's amiss.. who was behind the free sunnis of baalbek brigade did we every learn?
"Detained Abdullah Azzam Militant was Involved in Shatah's Assassination"
http://www.naharnet.com/stories/en/159640
and yea i know anonyme anyone who tells you something you dont like is certainly a liar who is part of a big conspiracy to deprive you from your god-given right to slander hezbollah and accuse them of everything. but it's okay, just do like your hero djadja: push your head a little deeper in the sand.. and tadam! you can't hear them anymore.
"inventing the STL for example. "
1/ israel did not "invent" the STL ... international courts exist since long...
2/ HA and M8 agreed upon the STL...
cristians ya 78, cristians? looks like our southern friend again forgot to turn off his português spell checker! perhaps he enjoyed too many farinheiras on the weekend?
well, we prefer their reality to be their ideology, than their ideology to be reality...
Of course Mr. Larinjani, Hezbollah is indeed very very effective, very effective. Masalan ya Mr. Iranian Parliament Speaker, Hezbollah has crippled a country called Lebanon. It now has no president, many posts have been made redundant, the country is at a fiscal loss, Hezbollah has gone from one foray to another, latest of which it's wild venture into Syria, a country that ruthlessly occupied ours for decades and plundered it of almost everything. Hezbollah married a decrepit old man known as the mad general, or Aoun to make it short. Anyway, you're right, Hezbollah is definitely effective, in messing up this country beyond its worst nightmare, for once you got it right.
“Lebanon is the country which has confronted the Zionist enemy and taught it an important lesson,” Larijani said during a lecture at the Lebanese University's Faculty of Law.
-- But you just said Hezbollah is more effective than the state, no??
“Some movements are more effective than states. Hizbullah is an example. It plays a positive role in the region,” he said.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
“The resistance of the Lebanese people against the enemy is an honor for the Islamic World,” he added.
-- Are you sure all the Lebanese people are resisting the enemy?? Are you sure your resistance isn't resisting the country it resides in??? Us Christians aren't honoured to be part of your Islamic extremism.
death to khomieni, nasrallah and assad!!! the nation of iran will fall right after russia. your time is coming soon!
Dang, so many Iranian servants posting here. Most of the around 160 posts are from them. It's like someone kicked a hornet's nest with the very first comment that happened to be critical of Larijani and in a frenzy they all came in on the attack, or is that just the one servant with multiple accounts. Humm, it is interesting how they all fanatically posted withing a limited time line they they all disappeared at once.
