Hizbullah praised on Wednesday the spiritual summit that was held at Dar al-Fatwa on Tuesday, saying that its concluding statement reflects national principles and protects Lebanon.

It said: “The summit statement is tantamount to a national document that reflects the Lebanese people’s expectations.”

It highlighted the significance of the attendance of the major spiritual leaders at the meeting given the unrest in the region and American meddling that serves Israeli interests.

“The spiritual summit asserted national principles and uncovered the agendas that are seeking to harm Lebanon,” added Hizbullah in a statement.

It praised the summit for advocating dialogue and national unity as a means to confront attempts to create strife in Lebanon.

“This position is necessary for the Lebanese to determine their fate freely, away from foreign hegemony and Israeli agendas,” it continued.

“We hope the summit would return those sides who have lost the right path” back to the Lebanese fold, concluded Hizbullah.

The Dar al-Fatwa spiritual summit stressed on Tuesday the importance of historic and current cooperation between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon.

It said that all sides in Lebanon “should adhere to the civil state, frank dialogue, and reject foreign meddling in Lebanon.”

“The country’s stability is based on the principles of mutual coexistence, as well as respecting the constitution and sovereignty of the state,” it added.

“Preserving the Lebanese people’s unity requires them to firmly oppose foreign meddling,” it stated.

The summit was headed by Grand Mufti Mohammed Rashid Qabbani and attended by Vice President of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council Abdul Amir Qabalan, Druze spiritual leader Sheikh Naim Hassan, and Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi.

please do not talk about foreign meddling in Lebanon's affairs hizbullah, while iran and syria are the major meddlers and greatest threat to our country and its unity.

Only dialogue needed is one that addresses non-state arms!

The rest of the countries will be sorted out naturally after that in a democratic fashion, and there will be less reliance on summits like this.

NO TO NON-STATE ARMS!

Of course, it all depends on how Hezbollah defines "foreign" when it calls for an end to all "foreign meddling" if that means Israel as foreign, well, of course, it is. If it considers Iran and Syria as not foreign, well then, that's a problem. They are all foreign, including the US and France as well. To end "foreign meddling" should go across the board to all foreign patrons of the various political parties in Lebanon and they should all rely upon each other for national security rather than outside "foreign" patrons.

while i can understand that someone doesn't like syrian meddling in our affairs....

let's forget saudi arabia for a moment....

to say that syria and iran are greatest threat to lebanon...that can only come from zionist information war department.

this is another clear evidence of zionists plaguing an nahar website

So far i only saw trouble from march 14 people. All they talk about is the stl.
They never cared about the lebanese people or the future of lebanon. As far as i am concerned jumblat is a bad luck and a jinx they can keep him hahaha. He will bring bad luck with the side he steps with. March 14 have only one goal .. revenging hariri who was realy killed by the jews. Nothing more nothing less. At least now we have a gov that is working on getting us electricity 24/7 and things are getting a lot better. we fell safer now that march 14 are away and we are sure that the future is going to get better with our new gov. any one here against the new gov is the ennemie of the country and do not want peace. Long live the lebanese people united for ever and may god keep march 14 in exile.

clarification:
foreign means all non Lebanese entities and governments.
currently the only ones sending arms and rockets are the syro/iranians, thus they are the main threat to our country
