UAE Summons Lebanese Ambassador over Nasrallah's 'Hostile' Remarks
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةThe United Arab Emirates summoned on Wednesday the Lebanese ambassador to the Gulf country and handed him an official letter of objection on Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's recent remarks against Bahrain.
The Foreign Ministry “strongly denounces the hostile, provocative and rejected remarks, which clearly violate the affairs of Bahrain, incite violence and terrorism and destabilize the country,” Tariq Ahmed al-Hidan, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations, said in a statement.
He held the Lebanese government “fully” responsible for Nasrallah's statements, demanding it to clarify its stance and condemn the “hostile” remarks.
“The Lebanese government should take the necessary legal measures to guarantee that such incidents will not happen again.”
The Gulf Cooperation Council on Saturday criticized Nasrallah's stance as well, accusing him of “inciting violence and discord.”
On Friday, Nasrallah noted that top Bahraini dissident Sheikh Ali Salman, who was jailed recently by authorities, “has never called for toppling the regime and he did not incite to violence.”
“The authorities in Bahrain will realize that they are acting in a foolish way. They can imprison most of the Bahraini people but that will only stop the protests on the streets and they will not be able to stop the protests in prisons,” said Nasrallah.
“The reason behind the peaceful approach is not the inability to send weapons or fighters to Bahrain, but rather the fact that the clerics, political leaders and people in Bahrain are preventing that and seeking a peaceful solution,” Hizbullah’s leader added.
H.K.
G.K.
The day will soon come when this terrorist criminal would be silenced forever. That is when Lebanon's real independence will be.
what kind of independence would that be? a gaza-style one when israel invades? or a saudi-style one when m14 has all the room they crave to kiss and shine golden shahhatas?
btw, isnt that interference of UAE in bahreini affairs? why isnt bahrein barking about this?
When we question and condemn HA involvement in Syria you two are quick to answer "they were invited by the Assad government" as if HA is a country or a state on its own ( Mind you, there is never a record of the Assad government ever inviting HA to participate in the war. But when Bahrain invites the Saudi Army which is part of the GCC and which is bound by a mutual defense treaty, you claim it is Occupation and Invasion. You people have no logic and frankly no shame either.
oh _mowaten_ you scary me sometimes!!!! I was thinking the same thing, exactly the same thing. We are so so similar it is not even funny anymore. We are both Shia and extremists; We both pretend to be secular and non-prejudicial; We both are malignant narcissists; We both lie and distort and last but not least; We both are paid to post.
_mowaten_, do you think people might think we are the same poster? I hope not
@ex-fpm
excellent counter argument but these terrorist sectarians are devoid of logic and are driven by their hatred.
hi "depardieu" i see you have a new alias, yet speak like an old timer of this forum. could it be that you're a troll posting under different names every time? could it?
hahaha i see the takfiri fanclub went bonkers on this one.
i'll only answer your first comment ex-fpm: no what we say is that HA acted in defense of lebanon, to fend off an immediate threat. what we saw since HA's intervention proves a million times over that they were right to nip the takfiri dreams in the bud when they started massing tens of thousands of fighters on our borders. whatever trouble takfiris pose now would have been a hundred times worse if HA hadent.
in the bahreini case where are the armed rebels, the beheader, the terrorists, that threatened saudi? (or the bahreini regime for that matter?). there was neither violence nor the threat of it, yet they still went in to crush protesters. 4 years after it started, and despite a brutal crackdown, bahrein is still peaceful. a humbling lesson for you supporters of the bloodbath in syria, dont you think?
well articulated ex-fpm! This hateful mouthpiece will not stop at anything to propel his sectarian propaganda. The Bahraini dead policemen, the civilians that were murdered in cold blood and the booby trapped vehicles are all made up stories according to this evil minded and hateful creature. He only speaks because the terrorists in Bahrain are shia just like him.
Your terrorist leader said your assassins are in Syria to defend the assad regime and to prevent its downfall;) As to the rest of your empty claims as to fighters massing at the borders hehehe go sell them in dahieh.
the ball started to roll apparently.
probably there will be deportation of shia in bigger number now out of the GCC.
i can assure you on the tomb of my son hadi and on the integrity of zeynib and the conscience of imamu ali that we are here to protect lebanon and not the shias.

One strategy of Ebola is to destroy the country, its economy, institutions, justice, security, stability, National Pact...so people become despaired and leave. Then Ebola will have free hands to build "Teheran-on-sea"...
The thing is... that some people in Lebanon still hope for a better future of this country... a future without resistance, wars, assassinations, constant turmoil... a Lebanon free... and peaceful... and alas... Hezbzabala does not want that, because should we achieve that... the hezb would have no point...should disarm and give up their military wing...better yet... We want to live, work, and raise the next generations in a Land of peace... it seems hard to understand for those constantly waging wars, abducting, and terrorizing... for what!? Their sect? Palestine? Even better... Syria!?! Pffff....
true and agreed except how can we have this with 400 thousand Palestinians and 1.6 million Syrians who care little about a free and prosperous Lebanon? Israel that continues to occupy and oppress the native peoples and threaten its neighbours with destruction if they dare object to its plans?
There is no chance of a better future for Lebanon until our neighbours leave us alone!
True ado... we do not want those 440K... but we cannot wage all wars at the same time...
If we were clever, we would show some good faith, stabilize this country, and the world would be on our side... eventually. We can get rid of the Palestinians and the Syrians, whether Irael wants it or not... in due time.
Israel left us alone quite some time ago... unless "we" provoke them...
the world is already on our side! what other country of 4m ppl that is so insignificant economically demands so much attention? In Nigeria, boko haram are killing thousands! in ukraine, even in afghanistan or iraq the international community cares little compared to the media attention lebanon gets! we are already important to them due to christian and muslim demographics and lebanese immigrants world wide! but still the paletinians and syrians will never be forced to leave and lebanon will continue to be the refugee dump of the middle east!
