Lebanese Officials Slam Egypt Riots: Democracy Can't Be Established in this Reality

Lebanese politicians and clergymen have condemned on Monday the riots between Christians and Muslims in Egypt, with some labeling them as being part of an American agenda to fragment the region, while others viewing them as an impediment to democracy.
Hizbullah voiced in a statement “its great pain and sorrow over the developments in Egypt”, saying they are part of the American agenda bent on “completely fragmenting the region along religious and racial lines.”
In a letter addressed to Egypt’s Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Taib, Grand Mufti Mohammed Rashid Qabbani stated that al-Taib plays a major role in the “renaissance of the strong and modern Egypt.”
“The Egyptian people have the right to feel secure to take part in this revival,” he added.
For his part, Bishop Samir Mazloum told Akhbar al-Yawm news agency: “Democracy cannot be established in Egypt given the developments in the country.”
Phalange Party chief Amin Gemayel called on the Egyptian leadership “to derive lessons from Sunday’s unrest”.
He told LBC television: “Adopting slogans of unity and freedom is not enough if the leadership is unable to grant the people their rights.”
“We look forward for Egypt, which has always been the pioneer in implementing reform, to pave the way for a new Arab system that can achieve justice and equality,” he added.
“If we don’t establish a system that can contain all the components of society throughout the Arab world, then we are paving the way for a new dark age and hundred years war,” he warned.
Clashes broke out over the weekend between Christians, Muslims, and Egyptian security forces, leaving at least 24 dead and 200 injured.
The clashes began when Christians were protesting a recent church attack.

of course tere are sectarian tensions in Egypt, but someone is using it: they syro/iranians.
anyway time will show what really happened, hoping only the Egytians would deal with matter the right way.

Just like Hezb Ebola attended the Funerals of their victims Jubran Tueini and Hariri and the others they killed in cold blood so too they and their Syrian/Iranian masters waste no time and send their "condolences" and "condemnations" to the Egytian people right after they sent their criminals in to start the fire. Killing Christians in Egypt proves Patriarchs remarks about Syria's unrest and his fears for the Christian minority in all the Muslim dominant countries in and away from the middle east. Muslims should stand up and shoulder the Christians not just make empty remarks outside and cheer crowds behind the scenes to kill more Christians. Muslims should not blame one sect of rioting against the Christians. All Muslims are responsible to protect the infidel..just remember that Mohammed was taught and protected by monks in Arabia before he rose to fame. Most of the forefront Arab nationals and thinkers and constitution makers were Christians...The Muslims should go beyond their religion and prove in tangible ways that they are living in the 21st century and not in the barbaric old ages of caveman...Christians have rights and duties and so do Muslims.All Muslims of the world should voice their disgust and reject what happens in Egypt. The US plan was to hand Iraq to the Shi'a and then divide their strongest ally Egypt and attack their business partner Qaddafi. It all makes sense now...

the only problem is that some muslim and christians extremists use religion to fulfill their own agenda. they wave the fear of the other for their political interests and to establish their power.
in lebanon who has the most power over the people? all the clergies...who will fight to keep their privileges!
