Hariri Voices Support for March 14 Coalition, Backs ‘Freedom’ in Syria
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةFormer Prime Minister Saad Hariri is holding on to the March 14 coalition and to equality in distributing of powers between Muslims and Christians, An Nahar newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Former MP Bassem al-Sabaa told al-Mustaqbal leadership during a meeting led by head of the party’s parliamentary bloc Fouad Saniora that Hariri voices his support to the Taef accord.
He is keen on supporting the Arab spring uprisings, especially for the Syrian people to attain “freedom and democracy,” the daily said.
Hariri urged al-Mustaqbal leadership to focus on these three main points during the upcoming stage.
The newspaper noted that Hariri, who is currently in Riyadh, will travel to Paris on Wednesday or in the coming days, to meet with Lebanese officials.
They are expected to discuss the developments in the region and the overviews of the forthcoming stage in Lebanon.
Sources told An Nahar that al-Mustaqbal Movement Secretary-General Ahmed Hariri was keen during his speech in Tarsheesh to support the Syrian revolution as a choice and support democratic change.
Dr Geagea would do a better job leading the Future movement...
You are letting us down Saad..
throughout history, the sunnis have always been moderate except for a small extremist part.
For Both canaanite and geha i respect your opinion but note that the sunnis are the most peacefull people in lebanon don't foreget what geagea did for the sunnis on the burbara for the civilian sunna, so the sunna were and always their will be the people of the peace coz his religion is it.
Actually canaanite, I think that now is the period when we less need Saad. The goverment is so uncompetent that they almost need no opposition. Joumblat's opinion differs from Mikati, who's opinion differ from hezbollah, & no one in the government seems to understand Aoun.
The international pressure on Mikati's shoulders on one side, and Hezbolla's pressure on the other limits the government's movements.
Our country is witnessing by the day security troubles, and breaches by the syrian army, and does not know how to react to them. Not to mention all the interior troubles such as lassa, the MTV crew incident on the airport road, the Antelias grenade, the Estonians, the shoots in the North and in the Bekaa, etc...
M8 is shooting itself in the foot, just relax, stay, and watch... Saad will come in handy later...at the right time!
@thepatriot & canaanite
i surely agree with the patriot :)
why bother, they are making folls of themselves and just the second one of them is no more afraid of hizbushaitan, you will start seeing resignations.
let them battle it on their on, and let us have fun.
Now that cheikh Imbecile has been stripped of everything, he has nothing left to cover his butt but his hallucinating stooges. The Party and the party are both over. I REPEAT: THE PARTY IS OVER. And when he calls for freedom in Syria, he is hoping for his freedom in Syria. Didn't he say that he will return to Lebanon through Damascus Airport? We can't wait for this to happen as life is boring here without his dumb and stuttering kindergarten-level speeches. bel ro7, bel dam, nafdika ya cheikh Imbecile.
poor farido, proud of being supporter of dictatorship. he surely dreams of being lebanon s new despot, with a kalashnikov in his hand to believe he is a man....
he forgot all the killings and theft syria has done to the lebanese people and still thank them for their atrocities here... stockholm syndrom?
no one said nothing and filthy zionist information war department went on to say nothing also
