Report: French Defense Minister in Lebanon in April to Oversee first Shipment of Weapons to Army

French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian is scheduled to travel to Lebanon in April to oversee the first shipment of weapons to the Lebanese army as part of a deal with Saudi Arabia that was reached in 2014, reported al-Mustaqbal daily on Saturday.
It said that the minister is set to arrive in Lebanon on April 20 for a two-day visit.
He will oversee the first shipment of arms and hold a series of meetings with a number of officials, including Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, and Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji.
Saudi Arabia and France inked the weapons deal, worth $3 billion, in Riyadh in November.
It also includes training programs for the Lebanese army run by the French military.
It aims to boost Lebanon's military as it struggles to contain the rising tide of violence linked to the civil war in neighboring Syria.

The resistance supports all forms of help given to the LAF even help in the form of learning French and making French fries.
Zionists advisers are welcome also, after all we have our own Farsi advisers, so why deny the LAF what we ourselves enjoy. The LAF need to be equipped sufficiently to protect our villages and town from the evil ISIS while our glorious resistance is busy liberating Syrian towns and villages from the real Syrian rebels ..... as far as Aleppo and wama ba3da ba3da Aleppo.

قاسم: نحن تحت إمرة الولي الفقيه
اعتبر نائب الأمين العام لـ”حزب الله” نعيم قاسم أن “ولاية الفقيه هي نظرة إسلامية في السياسة والحكم وإدارة شؤون الناس، والولي الفقيه يرسم السياسات العامة للأمة في جوانبها المختلفة”. ولفت إلى ان “المقاومة الإسلامية انتصرت وحمت لبنان وأشعلت روح الجهاد في فلسطين تحت إمرة الولي الفقيه الذي التزم الإسلام وسماحته والدعوة الحسنة”.
وتابع قاسم خلال توقيع كتابه “الولي المجدد”: “التزم حزب الله قناعته بولاية الفقيه ولم يفرضها على أحد، كما لا يقبل أن يفرض عليه أحد قناعات وقواعد ما أنزل الله بها من سلطان، وتحت إمرة الولي الفقيه قدمنا تجربة عظيمة في لبنان، بينما رأينا تجارب أخرى لا تحتمل في لبنان”.

وأضاف: “تحت إمرة الولي الفقيه تم تحرير الجنوب ودحر العدوان وآمنا بالاستقلال ورفض التبعية، وأدركنا قبل الكثيرين خطر داعش والتكفيريين وواجهنا هذا الخطر فكريا وعمليا، وبدأ الآخرون يلتحقون بموقفنا تأخروا جدا بدون فاعلية عند الكثيرين، في حين حقق حزب الله نجاحات متتالية وبين صوابية خيار الولي”.
وختم: “قدمت إيران بإدارة الولي الفقيه تجربة مشرقة وعظيمة لها مكانتها، تقدمت علميا واقتصاديا، وأصبحت دولة ذات شأن، تقف الساحات الدولية عند رأيها وقناعاتها، حتى أنها دخلت إلى قلب أميركا بقوتها وعظمتها ودورها، وأعطت الحرية للشعب الإيراني الذي اختارها بملء إرادته. إيران أم المقاومة، ودرة الشرق، وعنوان الإسلام الأصيل ورمز الاستقلال، ومحط آمال الثوار والأحرار”.
