Hizbullah Rejects 'Puppet' President, Admits 'Deep Differences' with Mustaqbal
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةHizbullah announced Sunday that it does not want a president who would be a “front for foreign countries,” as it stressed that dialogue will continue with al-Mustaqbal movement despite the “deep differences.”
“We want the election of a president for Lebanon and all Lebanese, a president who would shoulder his national responsibilities and who would not be a front for any side or state or a puppet for implementing the plots of others,” head of Hizbullah juristic council Sheikh Mohammed Yazbek said at a memorial service in Bouday.
The presidential seat has been vacant since May 25, 2014 due to the parliament's failure to elect a successor amid political disputes and electoral rivalry. The MPs of Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement boycotted 20 electoral sessions, preventing the formation of the needed quorum for the election of a president.
Hinting at FPM leader MP Michel Aoun -- Hizbullah's declared candidate – Yazbek said “there is a figure who is capable of achieving this country's rise.”
“But those who heed the instructions of foreign forces do not want the election of this president,” the senior Hizbullah official lamented.
Meanwhile, MP Ali Fayyad of Hizbullah's Loyalty to Resistance bloc noted Sunday in the southern town of Ainata that “despite the escalation and insults in the media,” Hizbullah does not want the Lebanese arena to “plunge once again into tensions and crises.”
“There is a need for pacification and we are keen on dialogue because it is a Lebanese need,” Fayyad added.
A war of words had erupted between Hizbullah and al-Mustaqbal against the backdrop of the Saudi-led campaign against Yemen's Shiite Huthi rebels.
The exchange of tirades, however, did not affect the dialogue that started on December 21 between the two parties.
Dialogue “has not lost its importance despite the deep differences over the regional issues,” Fayyad underlined.
“Regardless of all this noise and the crises that are hitting the region … the eye of the resistance remains on the Israeli enemy,” the MP added.

hahahaha! This is just an example of why you and only you are the KING of naharnet. You add a bit of poetry to a very adamant political position and your opponents faint. Somesing Anazar Flamesrower, completely Anazar!!!!
yea, only he wasn't. he was just a president who refused to be a slave in exchange for a suitcase of cash from saudi arabia, they couldnt tolerate it.
Aha? So we are the servants of Israel now, I know that is what the Wahabis wants you salafis to believe.
So when did Al Nusra, GCC coalition and ISIS ever fire 1 single bullet towards Israel? They never did it, they did not care one bit about the war on Gaza neither.
Here is a video of your beloved Al Nusra front recieving medical treatment from Israeli Defence Force women medics -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G785kB8OKcU
Or just like the Saudis boycotted Gen. Aoun? Even though majority Lebanese inside Lebanon backs him.
I know it is tough for your vilayet e faqih brain to understand but medics operate outside of politics and will that anyone. That is part of their code. Unlike ASSad ur ally who kills injured people inside hospitals
You two are a complete joke, samy you words are the same of a salafi, so don't give me the "Secular" Mostaqbal routine crap, you are takfiris like Nusra.
So mohamed you are proud of the Israelis help for your takfiri brothers, good.
About bombing hospitals, you should look at your GCC Saudi coalition right this moment, how they bomb child hospitals in Yemen.
and your beloved syrian regime just bombed a school in aleppo killing children...
they also bombed hospitals...
so spare us your hypocrisy about caring for children and civilians, you encourage these crimes in syria, miss tic...
When did I claim to be a man of God? I am a random person writing on this forum, just like you all. We have different views & different stances.
You can't claim to be against something, while supporting it in Syria. You are well aware that the Al Nusra front, is the heaviest opposition fighting in Syria, so by being against Assad you are backing Nusra.
Now you start all this Geagea rubbish, "same coin" and all that. You know what? Geagea himself is a terrorist and killer of Christians aswell as Muslims. He was the one to bomb a Church in the first place, that is something ISIS does today.
I am a servant of God, there is a difference.
Wahabis doesn't believe in any of that, they believe they are above God.
When someone carries the title of الوكيل الشرعي العام للسيد علي الخامنئي في لبنان, he should be the last one to talk about "puppet"s.
Liberty, Humble, Tony and others, please ignore this Roar, he is a troll and is here only to distract us from our focus. He is a paid troll, just today he has been following me from one thread to the other, using in his usual ways some slur words. I am not answering him because he is not worth it and we should not give him what he wants. he is upping the ante with personal attacks and this is for a good reason. Just ignore him, let him talk on him own all day. We are debating with people like Mystic, Mowaten, Souhern, Cityboy or FT for a long time, yet for all I know, we've never reached Roar's cheapness, never. Leave him, let's more along, let him insult all day, that's as far as he can get.
Its not your criminal record that would stop you from receiving a visa Farris, its your hygiene..we stopped giving visas to the unwashed.
Unlucky for you farris, try KSA dude, they like your type.
The problem is that the Christian political leadership, which is primarily responsible for developing candidates for the presidency, is politically and morally bankrupt. They have sold their respective political movements to regional powers. In exchange for patronage money that is used to pay for political hangers on, web sites and broad cast they have sold the ability of independent decision making. Into the void has flowed political proxies for Iran and KSA, neither of which should make decisions on the issue of the Lebanese Presidency. It will be quite some time, if at all, before we get the next Christian President of Lebanon.
Ofcourse the Lebanese Flag gets replaced by a Resistance one, where was the rest of Lebanon and the Lebanese to support the people of the South when they were bombed? Nobody supported them, so they took matters into their own hands, the official government of Lebanon told Israel to finish what they started.
So keep whining tony.american.
More important to me, than selling out my land to the Zionists and Saudis as M14'ers wants.
Before the Iranian revolution inspired us, we were nothing in Lebanon, just poor farmers for everyone to step on.
"Before the Iranian revolution inspired us, we were nothing in Lebanon, just poor farmers for everyone to step on."
sure we see how much it inspired your militia to fight for the welfare of ALL lebanese... farmers are still stepped on in akkar, a region no one cares about but yet they did not put their faith in a foreign militia but are still counting on the state....
pityful miss tic filled with hypocrisy and double standards...
Is that so? How come Akkar a Mostaqbal zone, do not recieve financial aid from Hariri & co.
Why do all the youth there go to Syria to fight? Because they are takfiris, they believe in Abu Baghdadis dream.
Akkar lived happily under the Ottoman empire by the way, they flourished. The South were always brutally supressed by the Ottoman Turks.
People in Syria, lived well and fed until the Saudi led takfiri war against it.
Saudi Arabia should give those people in Akkar & Tripoli money to live, instead of using it all on bombing Yemen.
"Is that so? How come Akkar a Mostaqbal zone, do not recieve financial aid from Hariri & co. " -> no they don't unlike you and iranian funds...
"Why do all the youth there go to Syria to fight? Because they are takfiris, they believe in Abu Baghdadis dream." -> a few individuals do not represent a whole population... Akkar is also a mix of christians and muslims in case you do not know...
"Akkar lived happily under the Ottoman empire by the way" -> we are in the 21st century ya caveman...
"Saudi Arabia should give those people in Akkar & Tripoli money to live" it is up to the lebanese state to do that... not all regions are funded by a foreign country like iran does in the South, but we know you despise and spit on the lebanese state....
"People in Syria, lived well and fed until the Saudi led takfiri war against it." it has nothing to do with akkar.... but as you lack any credible arguments sure you deflect the whole thing on syria and saudis... pityful idiot.
Yes, I am well aware that there are Christians in Akkar region, just like there are in the South and all over Lebanon. We are a very mixed country don't forget. Must be a reason that the Christian communities in Akkar are arming themselves drastically lately no? They fear that they will be consumed into the takfiris emirate, just like the Assyrians, Yazidis etc. In the other neighbour countries.
Excuse me peace, I didn't know you were actually waiting for my reply. I do not have time to look at this forum all the time, so forgive my absence.
Now what are you trying to pull here? You know very well, that Mostaqbal and the rest of March 14 Alliance recieves all their funds from the Saudi Wahabi Kingdom, that is not up for question because that is a fact.
Reason I mentioned Syria, is because you busted inside this conversation and claimed hospitals in Aleppo was bombed and so on.
Then you ignored my fact that Yemeni hospitals are being bombed by Saudis.
You claim I am a hypocrit, while you are an obvious one in this matter. Yes we do not live in the Ottoman times anymore, thank God.
Although I know people like you wishes for it. You still ignore the fact, that the people in Akkar lives in poverty, while the party they mainly supported is backed by the richest arab country in the ME = Saudi Arabia.
"Before the Iranian revolution inspired us, we were nothing in Lebanon, just poor farmers for everyone to step on."
Don't insult farmers, you were and still are: ignorant, sectarians, and traitors. Weapons and terrorism do not make you human or civilized.
pityful idiotic miss tic...
clearly your answers show what we already know is that you do not believe in the state of Lebanon... you believe that lebanese should be helped by political parties as you just count on hezbollah you believe every lebanese is the same sh... as you.
it is not up to a party to help people but the STATE... but every post you make here just show that you spit on the state while pretending to "defend" Lebanon when all you defend is your low sectarian interests...
mustaqbal is NONE of my concern, it is the people i am concerned with not parties or militias like you are... and as long as there are people like you more worried about the welfare of their parties rather than in the people then Lebanon is doomed...
and i suggest you to go to akkar and you ll see it is not like in the propaganda you hear on el manar...
I have been in Akkar several times peace, I know fully well what is going on around there.
the prime minister comes from the majority sunni
head of parliament comes from the majority shia
and for sake of equality
the president should come from the Christian majority
god bless democracy and equality

there's a system to vote a president in our consitutio. all march 8 has to do is stop boycotting the parliamentary sessions. Its not democracy to boycott parliament until the "opposition" votes for your candidate this contradicts the whole point of our democracy. people vote members of Parliament to represent them and not to vote for an opposing parties candidate the most basic principle of our democratic system.
(1). Hizbullah Rejects 'Puppet' President. Hezbollah is indeed very interesting, when I look at those they called presidents, I can only say that they had for themselves the very worst puppets Lebanon ever had. I am now dishonored to call the name of the late Elias Hrwawi and Emile Lahoud, two stooges that literally were hung from the rear trousers of Hezbollah and Syria. Wasn't Elias Hrawi caught live angrily claiming were was his cut? But one brave man Michel Sleyman, full of dignity, full of respect gave Hezbollah and their lapdogs a lesson for life, that not all people wearing army fatigues can be ordered around and this is why this time Hezbollah and their masters are truly weary of having another Michel Sleyman.
(2). Hezbollah is playing the time game for sure, but now obviously they must be coming to fact, that nothing will change the very essence of what Sleyman placed in the Lebanese, that enough is enough. The next president will not be a puppet and that will certainly break the massive wall of hypocrisy put up by Hezbollah. The we have an army on the rise, that too doesn't bode well for anyone who licks Hezbollah's feet or Iran's.
