Al-Rahi: Presidential Crisis Cannot End without Turning to Constitution
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةMaronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi urged on Sunday lawmakers to end the presidential vacuum, calling on them to return to the constitution to fulfill that goal.
He said during his Sunday sermon: “The presidential crisis can only solved through resorting to the constitution.”
“We pray that the politicians would return to the truth of the constitution and national pact,” he added.
Lebanon has been without a president since May 24, 2014 when the term of Michel Suleiman ended without the election of a successor.
Ongoing disputes between the rival March 8 and 14 camps over a compromise candidate have thwarted the polls.

Dear Batrak,
Please, we beg you: excommunicate this man who is destroying the future of the Christians for 100 years.
Some Christians supported Arafat, they were traitors.
Some Christians supported Hafez Assad, they were traitors.
Some Christians support the Butcher, they are traitors.
Some Christians support Ebola, they are traitors.
Some Christians support the Caporal, they are traitors.
