PM to Visit Riyadh Next Week for Talks with King Salman
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةPrime Minister Tammam Salam is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia next Tuesday for talks with top Saudi officials.
During his two-day trip, Salam will meet with King Salman and senior Saudi figures.
The announcement of the visit came after talks between Salam and Saudi Ambassador Ali Awadh Asiri.
The PM was expected to visit Riyadh last month but King Salman announced a major shake-up in the line of succession and cabinet.
Salman redrew the line of succession, appointing his nephew, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, as crown prince. The king's son, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was named deputy crown prince, placing him as the most likely second in line for the crown.
The king also made other major appointments.
Salam visited Saudi Arabia in May last year. It was his first official foreign trip since the formation of his cabinet in February, 2014.
