Report: Saudis Advised to Stay Away from Downtown Beirut
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةSaudi Arabia has advised its citizens to steer clear of downtown Beirut against the backdrop of an assault on a prince several weeks ago, Saudi embassy sources said.
The sources told pan-Arab daily al-Hayat in remarks published on Sunday that the advisory was sent to Saudis residing and studying in Lebanon.
The embassy also advised Saudi tourists to stay away from the downtown area.
In September, a group of Lebanese youths beat the Saudi prince when he refused to abide by the order of a policeman to move his vehicle from a no-parking area.
But where would they go ? they gotta sit somewhere and show off and pick up local chicks ;) ? why are you depriving them from this joy .
Actually the prince started it, he was drunk and was insulting lebanese. He also claimed that saudi own us and owned lebanon thinking the "stupid" lebanese wouldnt dare defend themself. Im glad he was beaten up as he deserved it.
Excellent advice from the Saudi authorities!!!
No double-standards: Saudis should act decently in Lebanon as they do in Europe and USA! Just imagine what would happen if a Lebanese citizen refused to abide by the police orders in Saudi Arabia??? I prefer not to think of the fate that will be inflicted upon him!!!!
Actually, members of the royal family have raped, bribed, and killed persons under the protection of the diplomatic immunity.
I wish they stay away from Labanon for good , like their " son " Saad Hariri did at last .

this is for sure the only news that every lebanese agrees on.. i like when everyone here agrees on something that shows how much love we have to our country.. i dont wana sound borring but this is good... although any visitor or tourist from the arab or the west countries is needed and welcome in lebanon but not those who can insult a lebanese police or the lebanese peoples.. i dont care how much money you spend you have to respect our laws and our peoples.. i think this saudi prince learned well how the lebanese way of deal with things.. good job for those who did it..
Any visitor who does not abide by the Laws of the host country should be punished, it is only fair. However, I'm not sure about the "beating by youth" part, this sounds like one of the cases where the Hezb Ebola thugs trying to intimidate the Saudis as well as others (the kidnapping of the Estonian bikers,....) into leaving Lebanon. Apparently Hezb Ebola only want Iranian lice infested hatred preaching diaper heads and (Iranian women for breeding the rest of the Lebanese out) to visit Lebanon as tourists. Although, I fully agree that ALL VISITORS SHOULD ABIDE BY LAW No matter who they may be, Lebanon may not be itself currently since it is being Hijacked by the criminal Iranian gang but this is no reason to disrespect the people and disregard the laws. I think he needed to be punished with a hefty fine and a few nights in Jail not being "beaten" by civilians. This is just too suspiciously draconian!
No doubt another attempt by the Iranian criminal regime, through its subordinate disposable proxies the criminal gang Hezb Ebola, at delivering another message to Saudi atfer the foiled assassination attempt of the Saudi Ambassador in Washington. Of course the Saudis have to instruct all their citizens (Princes or otherwise) not to violate any laws or get into any type of quarrel while in Lebanon.
Amazing! this is lebanese dignity! i think sometimes we over react, but i believe that this time the arrogant prince did learn a nice lesson ,and next time he will think twice before insulting anyone, which makes me wonder where was all this proudness and all these guts when couple of thousand of palesto refugees invaded our homes, threatened our country and seized our freedom ??? how come we didnt gather and kick their ass out! and how come we didnt do it again, when the syrian killing machine occupied our place, kidnaped , tortured and killed our symbols!!! shame on us
the filthy zionist information war department sees iranians in lebanon and also the members of some mystical people they call hezbollahis.
i guess their trauma over defeats from outr glorious resistance is so great that they find various mental techniques to deal with it.
Their embassy should have issued an advice to saudis to abide by the laws of the countries they visit/reside in instead of advising them to avoid beirut..and coming from a country that chops off limbs and heads??.. .. as for beating by youth, that is shameful, but can happen in London, NYC, or any other city in the world. They were arrested and charged, case closed.
