Jumblat Lauds Saudi Arabia’s Unwavering Support for Lebanon

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat praised on Monday Saudi Arabia for its constant support to Lebanon, noting that it has never hesitated in helping Lebanon throughout the various hardships it has endured over the years.

He said in his weekly editorial in the PSP-affiliated al-Anbaa magazine that the kingdom’s crowning achievement towards Lebanon was the Taif accord that helped end the country’s 1975-90 civil war.

“The kingdom sought to treat Muslims and Christians equally away from demographic considerations because it is aware of Lebanon’s diversity and its role in the region,” he continued.

Saudi Arabia also sought to help Lebanon out of the crisis that followed the 2006 July war, through supporting it on a financial level as well as in reconstructing the country, added the MP.

“In addition, Saudi Arabia has maintained its interest in Arab and Islamic causes, as King Abdullah devised the 2002 Arab peace initiative that was launched in Beirut and which presents radical solutions” to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Jumblat stressed.

The kingdom is keen on preserving cooperation between the Arabs in various fields, the MP stated.

“A few days ago, Saudi Arabia lost a man of institutions, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, who did a lot of good inside and outside of the kingdom,” he noted.

“The Arab and Islamic Ummah will miss his great contributions,” he concluded.

The Saudis are helping build the country instead of the rockets and guns sent by Iran and Syria.

The Druze will vote 100% for M14 next election. M8 is finished politically except what they can extort with guns.

Gabby, do you predict ASSad and his regime will be around come the next elections? I certainly do not know, but if he remains, then cheikh Imbecile will not come back to Lebanon because, as he said, and I believe he means what he says, he will not come back to Lebanon unless he comes through Damascus Airport, UNLESS, you can convince him otherwise. Can you please get involved my friend? Thanks in advance. At least, he will collect the votes of those Druze you are so sure (as you have been every time in your past predictions, my friend) will vote with the discarded PERSONAS NON GRATA. Keep you with your predictions, and try, if you can, to stay away from hallucinogens. Thanks again.
