Ali Meets Berri: Int'l Pressure Will Crumble before Syrian National Unity

The Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali stressed on Friday that Syrian President Bashar Assad is implementing reform despite the media uproar indicating the contrary.
He said after holding talks with Speaker Nabih Berri: “The international pressure against Syria will crumble before its national unity and its leadership’s responsible policies towards all challenges.”
“The dialogue Assad called for encompasses all factions of Syrian society and its positive results are being felt throughout Syria,” he added.
Furthermore, Ali quoted Berri as saying that Syria is eager to maintain good ties with the Arab world and comply with its initiatives.
The speaker also emphasized the need to fortify Arab and Syrian efforts against international pressure.
Berri later held talks with the British Ambassador to Lebanon, Tom Fletcher.

Syrian "national unity"???????
You better reconsider your math, there seems to be an error in your calculations.
What about "Arab unity"? It seems all the Arab countries are uniting behind the protesters (except for Yemen and the Vichy government in Lebanon).
What about the need for Syria to maintain it's "Arab Identity"??? The Arab League voted Bashar off the island, so to maintain the Arab Identity and Arab Unity, that means the Baathists have to go.
