Cabinet may not be held on Wednesday in light of the Change and Reform ministers’ boycott of Friday’s government session, reported the Kuwaiti al-Seyassah newspaper on Sunday.

Prominent March 14 parliamentary sources told the daily that Hizbullah and the Free Patriotic Movement will not allow cabinet to convene ever again.

This means that government will not be held any time soon, which also means that the funding of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon will not be addressed, they added.

“Hizbullah has finally revealed its true colors and has knocked out Prime Minister Najib Miqati because its masters don’t want it to fund the tribunal,” they noted.

The Change and Reform ministers did not attend cabinet’s session which was scheduled for Friday fueling speculation that they may resign over the dispute over the funding of the STL.

Cabinet has faced challenges regarding the funding of the tribunal with some of its members supporting the issue, while others opposing it.

Lebanon is obligated to fund 49 percent of the tribunal budget.
