Beirut-Bound Traveler Held in Abidjan over Large Cocaine Haul

A man, likely Lebanese, was arrested Tuesday by Ivory Coast's authorities at Abidjan's airport after a large haul of cocaine was found in his luggage, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.
He was captured before the departure to Beirut of a Middle East Airlines plane that he was supposed to board, NNA said.
The flight, which was scheduled to take off at 11:00 am local time, was delayed to 2:00 pm, as the passengers, most of them Lebanese, were forced to wait inside the plane before being interrogated by the airport authorities, the agency added.
