A patrol from Beirut's State Security department has managed to arrest a 44-year-old Syrian on suspicion of belonging to the extremist Islamic State group, state-run National News Agency reported.

“During interrogation, he confessed to undergoing intensive training courses at the hands of IS militants in areas controlled by the group in Syria and that he had entered Lebanon illegally two years ago,” NNA added.

The detainee was eventually referred to the relevant judicial authorities following an order from the Deputy State Commissioner to the Military Court.

he entered illegally two years ago and was still planning a devastating operation against national security but thank God to the shia owned State Security for his arrest.

Getting rid of ISIS is one part of the problem, the other is the Iranian Revolutionary Guard illegally in Lebanon. Until both are out then the problem will be solved.

Amazing all these alleged ISIS groupies get arrested and not a single one of them managed to blow himself up before his arrest. This guy was in Lebanon for two years and he was still thinking about his suicide mission.

The best security agencies in the world.
