Geagea Meets Mufti: We Can Overcome Crisis through Calm, Strenuous Work
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Tuesday met with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan and reassured that the Lebanese can overcome the crisis resulting from PM Saad Hariri's resignation through “calm and strenuous work.”
“Tomorrow I will have a lengthy interview on MTV and I will talk extensively about several issues,” said Geagea after the talks at Dar al-Fatwa.
“I was pleased to meet with the mufti, who is a major national figure. We wish many people had his balance and clear vision. We spoke extensively about the current crisis and, God willing, through patience, calm and strenuous work we will manage to overcome this crisis,” Geagea added.
Asked whether Hariri will return soon to Lebanon, Geagea said: “I will speak tomorrow.”
Dactor Geagea has earned my utmost respect and captured my imagination for many reasons chief among them:
1) Vehemently opposing proportional representation
2) Vehemently supporting proportional representation
3) Having reservations on the Policy Statement
4) Having No Hostility towards Hezbollah
5) Abiding by the 3 No-No's Rule
6) Supporting a Made-In-Lebanon President elected by an illegitimate Parliament
7) Supporting a Strong State without the presence of 'Illegitimate Armed Groups'
8) His love for Algebra and Equations
and
9) Assuring us the Cedar Revolution is well and alive
placing the Prime Minister of Lebanon under house arrest with Saudi escort is a crime against Lebanon.
Mystic
where do you get this very alarming information from? If that is the case, will we be expecting your hezbollah to carry out a rescue operation to free their 'beloved' prime minister?
@Justin
No they won't, but they will keep feeding the story and milking it to divert the attention from the real issue which is why Hariri resigned.
Why didn't the LF ministers resign over the practices of hezbollah and aoun ministers? Just talk and empty talk.
