Soaid Demands al-Hout to Clarify Statements about al-Fajr Brigades

March 14 General Secretariat coordinator Fares Soaid expressed surprise on Saturday over the presence of an armed branch affiliated in the Jamaa Islamiyah.
“We stress that the March 14 forces are struggling to move to the state which is the only competent side tasked with defending Lebanon,” a statement by Soaid said.
Al-Hout unveiled on Saturday the establishment of al-Fajr Brigades – the armed branch of the group – during a seminar in Akkar.
He noted that Jamaa Islamiyah will only use its arms if the “national security was under threat.”
Soaid said in a statement issued by his press office that any weapons outside the Lebanese state “under any pretext” are unacceptable.
“The March 14 forces demand MP al-Hout and Jamaa Islamiyah to clear the statements in order to put an end to any speculations,” it added.
The statement stressed is committed to defend Lebanon and the rise of a united state free of any illegal arms.

if we take the logic of the hezb who pretends having arms to resist and defend lebanon, ""Jamaa Islamiyah will only use its arms if the “national security was under threat.”" which is the same purpose= defend the nation.
so if hezb is allowed then this armed group should also be as it is the same excuse they are using!
that is why all arms should go to the state! everyone can claim the same and arm itself so why forbid it as it is legal for one group!
this is the kind of logic that the hezb has created in lebanon...

This occurrence is the reason and main justification for zero tolerance of arms outside the control of the state. Sooner or later, a group will surface that uses "if they can have them, there's no reason why I can't" as an excuse to start stockpiling weapons. The problem is that more and more groups will start using this same excuse to justify an arsenal and we'll soon be back to the situation that the country faced in 1975. Back then, Christian militias justified their arms by saying that "if the Palestinians have them, why can't we?" Time for all Lebanese - no exceptions - to stop accepting lame justifications for arms outside the state... before it's 1975 all over again.

They were banned in every middle eastern country until Ahmad Fatfat legalized them in Lebanon in 2005. They believe in the reinstatment of the caliphate that will rule all of the middle eastern and northern African countries. They have nothing to do with hezballa. No such thing as glorious resistance!! Lebanese army is all we want and need. Any armed group outside of the state army is a filthy militia. Can't dress it up!
