Tensions after Picture of Berri Torched in Khiyam
Unknown individuals torched a picture of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at dawn Wednesday in the southern town of Khiyam, state-run National News Agency reported.
NNA said the picture had been hung two days ago in the town’s main square.
“Currently there is a state of tension and a Lebanese Army patrol has arrived on the scene,” the agency added.
