Mikati meets Aoun anew, jokes about imminent formation
Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati met Wednesday in Baabda with President Michel Aoun over the issue of the new government.
Speaking to reporters as he entered the meeting, Mikati quipped that the government’s formation decrees cannot be issued today seeing as Speaker Nabih Berri “is in the South” to deliver a speech marking the 44th anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Moussa al-Sadr.
Mikati later left the presidential palace without making a statement.
Al-Jadeed television meanwhile reported that the disagreements between Aoun and Mikati were not resolved in the meeting.

How indecent to joke about such things when the country has reached a point of no return and despair. The country is literally on fire and collapsing like the Beirut port silos and these thugs disconnected from reality living in “castles” and fortresses are stepping on the population, humiliating every single living soul who isn’t part of their clique; they’re as evil as Hafez el Assad and Ariel Sharon during their occupation of Lebanon… if not worse than them.
