Report: Hezbollah says no veto on army chief but remarks over performance

Hezbollah has informed Bkirki that it has no veto over Army chief General Joseph Aoun’s presidential nomination but rather remarks over his performance, MTV said.

The head of the Democratic Gathering bloc MP Taymour Jumblat meanwhile met in Bkirki with Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi and said that his bloc will continue to vote for MP Michel Mouawad in the presidential election.

“We’re with Mouawad, but if the other camp has any name for consensus we will discuss the matter,” Jumblat added.

Since when a criminal militia convicted in international court and created, funded, armed and indoctrinated by Iran's Basij can tell us or have a veto on who qualifies to be president? Never Lebanon's has been weaker, with no sovereignty and with less respect and dignity than since we've been occupied by the criminal Basij.
