Bassil discusses presidential file with Russian ambassador
Free Patriotic Movement chief Jebran Bassil on Tuesday met with Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov.
A statement issued by Bassil’s office said the talks tackled “the raging war in Ukraine, the developments of the situation in Lebanon and the presidential file.”
Bassil had stressed Sunday that no one can impose a president on the Lebanese.
"We either choose the president with our own will or no one can impose him on us. A president who comes on the back of chaos is like a president who comes on the back of an Israeli tank," Bassil said.
