Bukhari-Jumblat meeting reportedly described as 'positive'
Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat has hailed the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement, as he discussed the presidential file with Saudi Ambassador Walid Bukhari, Nidaa al-Watan newspaper said Tuesday.
The daily learned from high-level sources that the meeting between Jumblat and Bukhari was positive and that Jumblat has reiterated his objection to the election of a one-sided president.
Before meeting Jumblat, Bukhari had met with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi.
He told al-Rahi that his country urges for the election of an uncorrupt president who can save the country, and told reporters after his meeting with Berri that there is "certainly" something positive for Lebanon.
Jumblat is smart enough to understand today is another critical moment in Lebanese history similar to 2005. There is zero chance for Lebanon salvation if one Iranian rocket remains on Lebanese soil and arms in the hand of Hizbollah criminal militia. Free Lebanese, including our mothers and kids, are ready for Cedar Revolution II with only one theme: No Arms Outside Army and Positive Neutrality. If duo does not participate, everyone should work to peacefully dividing the country as in Czechoslovakia as nothing remains in common and nothing left to loose. No other option. Anyone compromising with the Basij occupier is a traitor! Time to identify those so-called politicians and Christian and Sunni reporters on Hizb's payroll for the traitors they are. Liberation has started and Jumblat can again be a key player. Do it for Rafiq Hariri, do it for Gebran Tueni and all M14 martyrs! Do it for our children future. Do it to restore a free, democratic and just Lebanon free of criminal Basij.
Cedar Revolution I brought the best in many leaders. Cedar Revolution II should do the same. Only then the Silent Majority will trust and be moved to act. If there is light at the end of the tunnel, all differences and shortcomings should be put aside to save Lebanon. No one is perfect and everyone believing in Free, Democratic and Just Lebanon is needed. Better nations are often born after incredible challenges. There is strength in Unity. Gebran Tueni's oath will unites us once again and rekindle our zeal to save Lebanon.
