Argentina's President Javier Milei arrived in Israel on Tuesday and immediately announced a plan to relocate his country's embassy to Jerusalem.

"My plan is to move the embassy to West Jerusalem," the libertarian head of state told Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on the tarmac of the airport near Tel Aviv.

Why shouldn't an embassy be in the capital. What would Lebanon say if a country would want its embassy to be in say Tripoli or Sidon and not in Beirut?

Tel Aviv was never the capital of Israel. For thousands of years Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people and Israel from the time of the Bible. As far as I know Mecca is not the capital of any country.
By the way you claim that Jerusalem is occupied, please inform us from whom.
It is only 6 weeks ago that millions of people around the world celebrated the birth just over 2000 years ago of a Jewish baby called Jesus who grew up and preached in Jerusalem.

Interesting to say the least: my comment gets deleted while the zionist Israeli's comment remains. Thank you naharnet! Anyway, I said to the Israeli:" what happened to Tel Aviv your capital? Next, you will claim Mecca as your capital!"

"Tel Aviv was founded in 1909 and was the capital of Israel (1948–50). It grew with Jewish immigration in the early 20th century and by 1936 was the largest and most important city in Palestine."
