Nasrallah reiterates Hezbollah won't halt attacks before Gaza war stops
Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Tuesday that “intimidation” and offers of “political gains” will not convince Hezbollah to halt its attacks on Israel if the war on Gaza does not stop.
“What we're doing on our front in Lebanon and what the brothers are doing on the other fronts is an honest fulfillment of our duty,” said Nasrallah in a televised address marking Hezbollah’s ‘Day of the Wounded’.
“What we're doing on our Lebanese front is a national responsibility,” he stressed.
“Resolution 1701 has not been able to protect us, but rather the resistance,” Nasrallah emphasized.
He added: “The front has been open since 129 days in the South, but the enemy is fighting within limits and constraints and this experience has fixed the deterrence balances and proved that Lebanon has a deterrence force.”
Commenting on the recent visits to Lebanon by Arab and Western delegations, Nasrallah said: “All the delegations that came to Lebanon over the past months had one objective, which is the security and protection of Israel, a halt of fire against the Zionist posts and the return of the 100,000 settlers to the settlements.”
“The Western delegations are fully endorsing the Israeli paper and submitting it to Lebanon,” he added, in an apparent reference to a paper submitted by France to Lebanon.
“The delegations that come to Lebanon are trying to intimidate us and this has been of no use. Also the political gains that they are waving cannot affect our stance and will not lead to calming this front,” Nasrallah said.
Describing the south Lebanon front as “a pressure, participation and solidarity front aimed at weakening the Zionist enemy and its economy and security until it halts its aggression against Gaza,” Nasrallah noted that even if Israel “wages war,” it will not be able to bring calm to its northern frontier.
“The enemy is not in a position to impose conditions on Lebanon and I call on Lebanese authorities to add new conditions to 1701 rather than implement it,” Nasrallah said.
“When the aggression against Gaza stops, there will be a ceasefire in the south, but if the Zionist enemy carries out any action, we will return to the same equations and rules and our responses will be proportionate,” he added, responding to recent remarks by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Nasrallah also called on residents in southern Lebanon to turn off their cellphones and cameras, warning them that they are key sources of Israeli intelligence gathering activities that are used to target Hezbollah officials and militants.

Under its oppressive rule, 77% of Gazans live on foreign aid in poorest & most corrupt city. Aid stolen to build bombs and tunnels while people kept in misery and women in modern slavery, striped of dignity and dreams, reduced to a birth machine in a most overpopulated, unemployed and miserable city. 1. Hamas built no public shelters vs 400 km of tunnels. Generators & supply for tunnels but not hospitals or schools. Oct 7 attack insured Israeli response and heavy civilian death while Hamas hiding underground.
2. Hamas connected hospitals and schools with underground tunnels insuring their attack and civilian sacrifice for political and media benefit. No more cruel crime.
3. Hamas billionaire and millionaire leaders made fortune out of people misery by taxing tunnel counterfeit and fuel, extorting valuable lands, skimming aid and reconstruction funds, and contractors kickback. These fortunes must be seized for rebuilding Gaza prior to any reconstruction aid.
