Moussawi Slams Syria ‘Humanitarian Corridors,’ Calls for Dialogue in Lebanon
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةHizbullah MP Nawaf Moussawi criticized on Monday calls for the U.N. Security Council to discuss the setting up of “humanitarian corridors” to allow an aid group to reach areas hit with the Syrian army crackdown.
“Where were these humanitarian corridors to aid the Palestinian people in Gaza that is still suffering from the (Israeli) siege?” Moussawi said.
French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe has called on the U.N. to consider setting up "humanitarian corridors" to get aid to Syrians caught in the brutal crackdown by the regime on pro-democracy protests.
Moussawi stressed that Lebanon’s interest is to support the Syrian people to bridge the divide in the neighboring country.
Rights groups say more than 6,000 people have been killed since regime forces began cracking down on democracy protests launched 11 months ago to the day.
“Lebanon shouldn’t be the reason behind the sedition (in Syria), as some political parties are sponsoring the terrorist groups to encourage a sectarian civil war in Syria,” the MP noted.
Moussawi slammed the March 14-led opposition, saying: “They act according to the will of U.S. administration and the west.”
He called on the March 14 leaders to participate in the national dialogue that is necessary in a country like Lebanon in order to safeguard it against the ongoing threats.
Lebanon is witnessing a sharp rift between its opposition and the March 8 alliance on the developments in Syria as President Bashar Assad’s regime accused March 14 of smuggling weapons into Syria to aid the “terrorist groups.”
the filthy zionist media terrorists have been unprepared, there is a man from our glorious resistance speaking and they didn't get it yet.
earn your salaries, losers.
Moussawi draws an interesting analogy. He said that when the Israelis were attacking the Palestinians in Gaza in 2009, that there was not call made for a "humanitarian corridor" to provide shelter for the Palestinian civilians.
Three points:
1. The Palestinian civilians of Gaza are similarly situated to the Syrian civilians;
2. The Syrian Regime is conducting itself the same way as the Israeli Netanyahu regime conducted itself; and,
3. Because there was no corridor established for the Palestinians, something that Moussawi infers was wrong, then the wrong should be repeated by not setting up one for the Syrians.
We learned in the school yard that two wrongs do not make a right.
He should go back for remedial courses in logic.
In school I remember learning that negative and negative makes positive. LOL. But this applies only to algebra... Moussaoui, the Iranian, isn't credible at all. I guess he's been smoking too much pot smuggled from Syria.
what palestenians? these people killed hundreds of palestenians in the camp wars in lebanon in the 80's , made them eat dead cats and dogs actually. When GAZA was bombed in 2009 hassan was too buzzy making 3ashura. These folks are like the jews, supreme racists, if you are not shee3i then you can either be thier slave or you die. These brainwashed psycopath losers think that sunis in Syria deserve death because they killed their hussein. Thus they support the killers (Alawis) against the vicitms (sunis), it is straightforward really. read their history, you find how they supported the crusaders. Ask them what they think of Salah el deen and you would get more enlightened. They are waiting for the mahdi on a white horse lol.
bubba.. apparently you are a kid who beleives all the garbage that hassan tells you. The Egyptian army killed 1100 israeli soldiers and shot down 90 israeli planes in the first 3 days of the 73 war. Go sell your garbage elsewhere. In addition the israelis were defeated in several battles with the PLO in lebanon as well as the jordanian army. You do not have a monoploy over "resistance" . Your real enemy is not israel but actually the suni arabs and this is why you support the murder and genocide of the syrians sunis at the hands of the alawi regime. You are the true allies of israel and you were also allies of the crusaders against Salah edeen. who put maliki and the she3a in iraq?? : THE UNITED STATES, who resisted the US In iraq?? the suni fundamentalists, so quit the hypocrisy. Go learn some history, things are much more complex than your simple brainwashed mind thinks. The "connection" is much weaker than you think and will unravel in 2012. Watch and learn.
and dont be fooled by the temporary power they enjoy right now. The maronites had the same power period before and was all gone. Change in Syria is going to send everyone back to their true size, the giant is waking up and some guests like yourself have worn out their welcome. You are just so unsmart to see beyond your nose, connection from iran to beirut lol what a joke: ma tar tayr w irtafa3 ila kama tar waqa3, because the bird is too weak/small to stay in the air. You "resistance" is merely a gaurdian to the borders of israel now with their UNIFL after their "victory" , what else could israel wish for really? lol
Dear Nawaf: Your logic is non and void, so please stop running forward, and for the sake of Lebanon and all Lebanese try to read History properly and mingle with the Lebanese society.
To your knowledge, you are the only one who is betting on the survival of these tyrants as a support of the wilayat al faqih survival in Lebanon.
Well.....This isn't going to happen mate...Stop dreaming, this regime is going down faster than you think
They put all their eggs in the same basket... Ain't looking good for the the Lebanese Shia that support Hezbollah or Amal.
We will not reject the US and French aid to rebuild the Bridges/Infrastructure that YOU caused its destruction in 2006 too Mr Thug.
Yes Moussawi, let people die. Everyone has seen the true killer face of the Hezz now. Don't worry, when your turn comes maybe others will say don't give aid to Dahye.
Your black turbaned rat has made a tactical and strategic blunder.
there is no "resistance" anymore except against the true state, resistance against any person who is not shee3i and refuses to be a slave. Unless you really believe that Aoun, Wahab, and recently Putin and lavrov are resistance fighters lol.
jabal, there used to be a resistance upon a time, now it became a business and meen ma hab and dab is using the resistnace banner to make money and do illegal activities, plus all the israeli spies are caught in the resistance community.
You threw rice on israelis in 1982 because they rid you of the suni PLO. when it comes to war with the sunis, you and israel are warm allies just like you were allies with the crusaders against salah el deen. You and israel now are with bashar assad against the suni masses, the masks have fallen idiot. Go sell your mossad garbage somewhere else.
This Mussawy is off track. What's the correlation between the Palestinians and the Syrian people? they are 2 separate cases. The Syrian people are our people and we should shelter them when they come to us escaping from their brutal president. The Syrian people and the lebanese were at some point a one nation. We owe it to them to help them when the need arises. We woiuld be doomed if we didn't.
we know that you zionists don't want our resistance. you gonna get our rockets anyway
I had been hearing it, not just reading it. I kept telling them, Lebanon was controlled by Syria before they set one foot in Lebanon. Even if it leaves, still the same shit. Look at lebanon now. Syria going out not enough, we need to destroy the regime. If that didn't work, then maybe Iran has to go. Than maybe Iraq. It sounds like a sweet dream and easy task.
The syrian masses are changing the map in the region, you believe that iran is the strongest country where their currency has lost half its value this year alone and they are struggling against sanctions. Did you know kiddo that iran bought weapons from israel during the iran-iraq war: go read about the iran-gate. Iran is not a genuine enemy of israel and neither is bashar assad, the new element in the equations of the whole region is the people, when the masses move you cant stop them, and yes your god assad will fall, it is time consuming but nevertheless a mathematical certainty, the right question is not whether he still is there for 11 months, the right q is is he weaker than he was 11 months ago and how would he be 11 months from now with his economy faltering and rise of defections.
