Nasrallah says response to Shukur's killing 'inevitable'

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned Thursday that the group was bound to respond to Israel's killing of its top military commander Fouad Shukur, saying his death and that of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh "crossed" red lines.

"You do not know what red lines you crossed," he said, addressing Israel during a speech broadcast at Shukur's funeral.

"The enemy, and those who are behind the enemy, must await our inevitable response," Nasrallah added.

"We are looking for a real and very calculated response," he went on to say.

"I reassure the resistance's supporters that we quickly fill any void that happens whenever one of our leaders gets martyred," Nasrallah said.

"The assassination of the martyr Fouad Shukur will increase our resolve, determination and will, and will make us cling to the righteousness of our choice," he added.

As for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, Nasrallah said: "Do they imagine that they can kill the leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and still expect Iran to stand idly by?"

"Iran considers that its sovereignty, image and honor have been encroached on, because Haniyeh was its guest, and I tell the Israelis that they can laugh a little now because they will cry a lot later," Hezbollah’s leader added.

"The enemy must await the rage and vengeance of the honorable people of this (Islamic) nation," he said.

Nasrallah also said that the region has “entered a new phase that surpasses the issue of support fronts” following the two assassinations.

.. and yet, Nasrallah continues to believe that he is personally safe from enemy attack, despite all evidence pointing to him being considered "on the list" for elimination according to Netanyahu's sole discretion.

Lot of bravado talking about 'courage', but always in hiding. And he had better find out how his members, even the high ranked ones, are being picked off one by one

They have made a lot of enemies over the years, so they have a lot of work to even start.
