Report: Trump, Netanyahu will 'work to end wars'
There is an “understanding” between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump that they “will work to end the wars” in the Middle East, a person familiar with Israel’s thinking told the Financial Times.
“Netanyahu wants to help him reach that achievement. He didn’t guarantee it, but the notion is that he will wait with any kind of significant move in Lebanon or Gaza until January 20 (U.S. inauguration day),” the source added.
Trump has recently pledged to “stop the suffering and destruction in Lebanon” and “ensure the safety and security of the great people of Lebanon.”
Trump: "Lebanese Arabs need to surrender"
Netanyahu: "I can get them there by blowing-up everything Hezbollah has ever touched"
Trump: "Berri is a putz - did I say that right? - I can get them there faster and you can save those beautiful American-made bombs and jet fighters for targets in Iran"
Netanyahu; "Okay, let's do it your way and we will use the bombs against the Persians instead"
Trump: "Yeah, let's not waste them on camel jockeys"
